Halloween is great as long as you have friends to spend it with; I was never one for trick-or-treating, but dressing up, trying to scare each other, telling stories, watching movies... It's just a great time to be creative. Thanksgiving is like a better Christmas for me, because it's all the family togetherness and whatnot, without gifts; I don't like getting gifts for no reason other than the date. And New Year's usually ends up making me wistful and a depressed mess.

I wish to God I was there, there are so many things they didn't touch on. Halloween doesn't REALLY exist outside North America but Christmas is celebrated nearly globally Horror movies should not count as "Halloween" movies, by that metric, Krampus or Gremlins are Halloween films which is nonsense. I'm not well enough equipped to argue which has the better movies overall, but I will say that Christmas holds "Miracle on 34th Street", and "It's a wonderful life" Both of which met serious critical acclaim independent of the holiday they represented. I've never heard a serious musician come out with a Halloween single, or album. I'm sure they exist, but not in the mainstream. But every year, Mariah Carrie and Michael Buble absolutely dominate the radio during the winter. There are also not a lot Halloween videogames. I can't actually think of any, save the already established independent of videogames, Halloween franchise. Christmas has Dead Rising 4, Bayonetta 2, Arkham Origins, How the Saints saved Christmas, plus a whole bunch of garbage Wiiware titles and the like. Christmas has more time off, Halloween isn't even recognized as a real holiday. Christmas has objectively better food, real meat and vegetables and high quality chocolate and wines vs Halloween which is like, a small-size half empty bag of lays. Don't even try to contest that. Halloween is also responsible for the "Candy Man" murders, those stupid clowns that plagued the globe however long ago, and other stupid precautionary dogshit. Corey absolutely slaughtered with the line "Christmas is a time of giving, Halloween is a time of taking." Thanks folks, that's my time.
