I'd like to add that the protection that this product provides to the finish is amazing also. I drove through a large water puddle in the road the other day and figured I would have to clean up the side of the car because of this. When I got home and checked the sides there was nothing whatsoever showing as far as dirt or water marks. I checked 3 separate times to make sure I didn't miss anything because I couldn't believe there was nothing to clean up. It still looks like it was just polished.

I finally got myself to give this a try. My hesitation was because I have never used a machine buffer before and to top it off, the buffer that I got over the winter is a Dewalt rotary buffer. To play it safe I used a white foam polishing pad (Speedy Foam by SM Arnold) and ran the buffer at 1000 rpm as stated on the bottle for rotary buffers. The result is absolutely amazing!! I have a black car and this is the best my car has ever looked. I am VERY happy with this product and can't thank you enough for recommending it. I plan on buying the larger size bottle very soon. Thanks Scott!!

I'm in the exact same situation as you roKz, which is why I also really enjoy this channel and his videos. I wish that other detailing youtube channels would suggest detailing tips for the everyday day detailer who does NOT have a garage or a shaded area easily accessible who often finds himself battling the sun. I wonder if they make any kind of tents or canopies that folks can put up in a few minutes to shield their cars from the sun and at least be able to prevent direct sun lights and bits of dirt and dust and pollen falling onto the paint while cleaning...?

Hey Scott, always enjoy a new video of yours. Always informative and honest. Gotta a question about paint correction or waxing on matte finish paint? Do same rules apply for compound, polish and wax with a DA or rotary? Thanks
@mikea.73706 жыл бұрын
Jami Clemente sorry to say but the rules are not the same for matte finishes. You cannot compound or polish matte paint. However, there are very good sealants and waxes for matte paint. I'd personally recommend getting ceramic coatings for extreme protection due to the fact that you can't polish a matte finish

Hey Scott, love the videos! I was just given a 2001 Ford f150 truck the problem im having is that i dont have a garage for it nor any shade. so this truck will mainly be parked outside in the sun. this is the only reason why im hesitant on doing any detailing work on it. If you have any, can you make video on tips on how to maintain your car for people who have no other option than to park outside with no shade?
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
scornillez well this is one product you can use to restore shine and gloss and lay a nice sealant at the same time. Works great in the sun but I think the video demonstrated that point. You don't have to use an aggressive pad like I did and it becomes a very light polish and sealant

Wow impressive. I have a 2016 White Honda Civic Sedan. When I purchased it I wasn’t educated on proper car washing and car care in general. I understand soooo much more from watching you. So skip 2 years later I see very basic light swirling from probably improper washing and drying. What would be a good beginner AIO to start with.?I recently purchase the Harbor Freight and I’m thinking HD SPEED, or one of the BOSS products or one of DRIVE AUTO APPEARANCE products you’ve been using. Like your advice. Great channel.

Now what if I want to do paint correction in that type of heat? Have a few cars lined up and the heat is finally here in NY. 90+ most days with direct sunlight makes for hot paint as you know. What compound/polish do you recommend for this heat? I know the griots BOSS stuff is a little finicky in the heat according to other detailers.

Hello Scott - great videos, thank you for taking the time to help all us hacks out here! The question I have for you is around the # of buffing pads needed to polish a car? I have watched all your reviews on polishers but I have not seen you discuss how many pads are needed to fully polish a car. I am currently using the Harbor Freight polisher (based upon your recommendation) and find that my pads heat up and sink in the middle of the pad and become useless if I don't frequently change them out. I may be doing something wrong here but it seems like I need to change the pad too often - It's taking about 5-6 pads to polish my full size sedan. Does that sound right to you? Thanks for your help Scott!
@n3ro2095 жыл бұрын
He does have a video explaining how many pads he uses and why. You can use however many pads you want, the trick is to keep them clean at all times. Brush the pad every so often that way you don’t clog it so much. As for the pads, try lake country force pads, they have a hole in the middle which helps in disipating heat. Good luck

Raul Valles yes of course, if they are light to medium swirls. I wasn't necessarily going after deep swirls, which this paint was trashed.
