Bought a 2014 axis in March of 22 with 16K miles on it. Since then we put 35K add’l miles on it. We spend one month in summer up north, right now we r in it up in MI hdg to the UP. We spend one month in winter in FL and then we go on 3-4 day trips every month. Our model is a 24.1. We only go to rv parks once a week to dump and take on fresh water. The other nites we spend mostly at Cracker Barrel’s or wherever we wind up having dinner for the night, as we never cook dinner , or Freedom boat club locations if we r gonna take a boat out the next day. The best thing about the Axis (Vegas) is u can park it wherever you park a car by simply backing the back end over grass and bring rear wheels to curb. There is no other class A that u can park where cars park! Our unit we lifted 8 in, but larger tires and king shocks, larger sway bars. We also have 440 amp hour lithium victron 3kw inverter/charger plus changed out the loud 4Kw onan for super quiet 2.8Kw onan so we can run anywhere without upsetting others in cracker barrel that might have open windows. Me and my wife and two golden doodles mini’s love our magic carpet. We travel 75 mph all day long and have never had unmanageable cross winds. I’ve owned a provost marathon conversion, 2 Monaco’s, signature and dynasty, and a bluebird, all tandems plus a revcon 6x6, plus a host mammoth on a ram 5500 and a coachman freelancer class c. The newer 24.1 model seat belts 5 and sleeps 5 and parks with cars……. It is our all time favorite of all the rv’s we’ve had. With this said, if we were people that hung at one place for a season we would def have a bus once again. But we never stay more than one night anywhere.

We have a small class A. The Coachman Pursuit. It came with no levelers. We added them for just over $6000. So worth it! Ours doesn’t have a slide which is what we wanted. We use ours to travel the country and don’t set up camp for days. We are on the go travelers so this works perfect for us. We park and get some sleep without looking like we are camping with slides out.

I have a 2015 Thor Axis I purchased new. My response was the same as Jennifer. The moment I walked in, I wanted it. I am 6'2" and love the interior height and the giant front windows. Yes, you can have levelers added. Thank you for your review of all 3. We love ours. Gotta run here, packing up to go camping for 4th of July! ❤❤❤

I really hope the Axis gets the paint update that the Vegas got. The new Vegas paint looks like the Coachmen Euro.

I really like the way you both did the review. It be cool if you could do the same style of review for the pickup truck style super c motorhomes. Not much info out there on comparisons between these. I know that the 4x4 truck can style would be appealing to alot if people not for off road but for the additional traction capability and safety it could offer.

We had a 2021 Axis with automatic levelers. Our preferred floorplan was the 24.1.

There are so many class A motorhome options but not many 30’ or less. We’ve owned 8 motorhomes over 38 years from 20 to 33 ft.. We presently own a 2022 Winnebago Vista 29V, very similar to the National Parks version shown here but not the paint and color scheme. Of the 8 motorhomes we’ve owned, Winnebago has performed best for us. Excellent build quality, and our present one has 40,000 miles over 35 months of ownership. Our rig doesn’t have a king bed or solid surface countertops but has a much better CCC ( 2042 pounds) While everyone will have a different experience ( after all these are all built by hand) our worst experience was with a large THOR class C. Sorry to say , the build on the Thor wasn’t as good as other brands we have owned. Thor is the largest RV builder out there and I’m sure some come off the line very well constructed, but I’d think three times before getting another. Anyway that’s my opinion and I have no doubt folks love their Thors. Thank you for your video

We almost purchased the Thor Vegas version of the Axis. Suspension severely lacking to make this RV safe in a crosswind but your review is very telling and accurate on all 3

Any feedback on maintaining? Seems like Ford dealerships stopped servicing Class A RVs even under warranty?! Can you see if this is a local thing or everywhere in the US?

Just saw a video on the Liz Amazing KZbin channel of a customer having real issues with the workmanship of this unit and how her dealer and Thor have so far refused to help her. It is eye opening to watch it, especially if one is considering purchasing a Thor made rv.

I think the one factor you left out is quality. To me that weighs number one when i look at a boat or RV. I would never buy a Thor, I can see your opinion

We drove a rented Class A from WA to TX (round trip). We bought a Class C and I'll never drive a Class A again. Class As are not for everyone.

Good grief. I'd never even consider a Thor. I enjoy camping too much--not spending my time haggling with manufacturers over poor build quality. The only thing reliable about the brand these days is that you'll encounter a catastrophic breakdown before you've driven your new unit 10 miles off the lot.

I would never buy a Thor though. No matter if it was the perfect floorplan. I actually think all of these have cons that would keep me from picking any of them.

Mike and Jen did not buy a Class B. That is how they started, in a Class B, and they were challenged to see all the changes made since they last owned one, which is how the Class B series started. But in the end - decided they had changed and now need more room. Hope that helps! - Team RV Lifestyle

The Axis interior quality from your video was lacking. Winnebago has best quality but sure don't want that big of a slide. Don't agree with your pick but really don't care for any of them.

I have the Vista. I am 5’2’´Ns I hâte the King bed, too crampy around, the is not enough space. The King is too large for this RV.
