A late answer but when she said this is "the" depression cake I figured it's soda because it reacts with the vinegar to create the rise.

Hi, I Wanted to make your cake BUT you said to use 1 tablespoon of Baking Powder? Isn't that too much? 1 teaspoon sounds more like it. Then you said to mix the baking powder. So, which one is it? Thanks for sharing.

Hello cnkayci, 1tbsp is what u need to bake . And I mixed all dry ingredients separately.
