Really amazing content man! Love the comparison with all the other mics. Keep it up, you deserve more subs!

Thanks a ton man. I checked out your channel and subbed. LOVE the morph edit between things on your desk. I may have to borrow (steal) that from you!

Sounds better without the windscreen. I think it's a solid dynamic microphone. I bought mine for $60 on sale.
@randyrektor2 жыл бұрын
That’s a great deal! I totally agree about the windscreen, although I found with my voice, I’d get a lot of plosives.

Instead use a pop filter :)

Great review! I'd imagine this would sound more bassy/broadcasty compared to Rode Pod mic. Do make a comparison video comparing this to other $100 mics!

Thanks for the kind words. Yea, I would love to do some more comparisons! More videos coming soon!

Happy to hear someone else's thoughts on this one...its a heck of a mic for the money. Great video!

Thanks man! Your videos are great btw. Totally agree though, people are sleeping on this mic, especially for the price!

Thank so much, and I totally agree. Kinda crazy for the price! Oooo good idea. I’ve never actually tried anything by SE

Great video! You'll get a lot more subs for sure I just hope you figure out a smoother way of switching mics because it's the wonkiest thing I've ever seen 🤣

what interface did you use in this Video ?
@randyrektor9 ай бұрын
I believe this was recorded directly into a MixPre-6 II and synced up in post.

What Adudio Interface is need? My Boya DM500's gain level is very low... with ( Behringer UM2 )...
@randyrektor2 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I didn’t have that problem at all. Make sure your interface is set to mic, not line or instrument. That may help!
@sophoria2 жыл бұрын
are you using the raw audio of the mic in the video?
@randyrektor2 жыл бұрын
I believe I had a low cut set at around 80Hz and a small amount of compression to help with consistent levels. I normalized to -6dB. One of the challenges of microphone reviews on KZbin. Your video needs to be normalized or KZbin will do it in processing. That said, it’s pretty minimal.
@sophoria2 жыл бұрын
@@randyrektor so would you say the quality would be as better raw?
@randyrektor2 жыл бұрын
It would sound just about the same, slightly quieter though.

can i connect mic direct to pc or mobile?
@randyrektor7 ай бұрын
You would need some sort of an interface to do so. I would suggest checking out a mic that can do both USB and XLR. Something like the Hollyland PM1 or Fifine K688

Just get a Rode Podmic or a Shure MV7x for a few dollars more.

This mic sounds great but it looks like the pill version of the sm7b
