By a sunscreen that doesnt make us oilyer we dont mean "that doesnt make us produce more oil" but just that doesnt make the face more greasy and shiny especially when the oils come thrue - so a more matte one or oil absorbant one. Thank you, love this video ♡

@@jessicat2752 i know your comment is 2 months old but I am super oily on my t zone and have acne prone skin so I always struggled with sunscreens. Heliocare 360 oil free sunscreen has a high spf broad spectrum and it also keeps my skin matte! It’s the only one that doesn’t cause me any problems. It’s a beige gel (watery gel) and it works amazing imo! I usually get shiny after an hour or so whenever I put on sunscreen but that one doesn’t make me shiny for around 5 hours. L you’ll probably have better luck with a chemical sunscreen from Asia. They are slightly more “dewey” looking, but they have zero cast and doesn’t ball up. The Purito Green Unscented SPF is good, same with the Rhoto Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel. Differin and Cetaphil make an anti-redness moisturizer (exact same ingredients, they have the same parent company I believe) with licorice root extract which is a great ingredient for redness, niacinamide, and has Shea butter in it. I use it and Dr. Dray recommends it all the time! The Cetaphil one is called “Redness Relieving Night Moisturizer” and the Differin one is “Restorative Night Moisturizer.” I use tretinoin nightly and I am so happy I found the moisturizers! CeraVe Oil-Free PM lotion wasn’t cutting it!
@jolaadaralegbe95594 жыл бұрын
@L No, I haven't tried any other sunscreens. However, I have heard people recommend Purito Centella. It's in a white tube with green accents, you can find it on Amazon. A lot of darker-skinned individuals attest to that. I believe it contains Niacinamide. If you want a moisturizer with SPF, you can go with CeraVe AM. I haven't tried it personally but people seem to like that as well. Hope the info helps!

Everyone says to get Neutrogena but when I try to use it I always look greasy immediately or in a very short amount of time. I end up using up everything Neutrogena on my neck and a different sunscreen on my face. For summer I am back to the tinted Australian Gold Botanical tinted face sunscreen that Dr. Dray does not recommend because of the potential of the botanicals causing allergic reactions. It is also very drying, therefore only usable in summer. On the positive I never get greasy from it and it really barely rubs off from medical face masks. Fortunately I am not allergic to the ingredients in the Australian Gold as I do react to most sunscreens. I did get the Neutrogena spray SPF to use on my ears and yes they look greasy when I use this.

I’m actually applying that exact La Roche-Posay sunscreen you mentioned now & let me tell you, I HATE this sunscreen. I have oily skin with hormonal cystic acne and that stuff does not even kind of rub in. It sits on the skin for hours, so much so that you can see the white streaks at the end of my work day, even after I attempt to work it into my skin. It also settles into every single line and crease, including on my neck. It does NOT dry down at all, so my face is super sticky the rest of the day, and unbelievably shiny. I’ll use it up because it’s expensive but truly, the worst sunscreen. I do not understand why it’s marketed as “melt-in” sunscreen. Does the exact opposite.

Which one? I'm using the gel version Dr Dray recommended in her Japanese sunscreens but I don't enjoy the shine that's left 😟

My latest favourite sunscreen for my face is coppertone pure & simple. It’s a zinc oxide sunscreen. I originally bought it on amazon but found it’s available at wal mart (Canada). Another couple favourites are the la roche posay ultra light spf 50 (Canada) & the bare republic mineral sport sunscreen (Usa) Unfortunately the bare republic one does have fragrance so I won’t repurchase it but since I have it I’m going to use it up. Great vid Dr Dray! 💞

Yeah I was looking at the Pure & Simple as well. Seems decent and very affordable.

Great video! Although I have dry to normal skin, I have smooth skin that tends to make me look shiny in the summer, so this is really helpful! Listened to the podcast you posted on your stories yesterday on a long car ride. Really enjoyed hearing your insights on your KZbin journey as a derm! 💕

I've never worn a sunscreen, because I hate the way it feels and smells. I have combination skin, and I feel that sunscreen makes my skin look shinier and oilier than normal. I've been lucky to have very minimal sun damage, because I limit my sun intake and usually stay in the shade. I'm going to be forty next year, so I'm looking to incorporate a daily sunscreen into my routine. This video has helped me to choose a sunscreen with a matte finish. Thanks :)

Every video I watch from you, I wanna buy more Sunscreens. I'm still going through my Purito, Krave, MDSolarscienes, Walgreens and now I wanna get the coppertone for running

Another sunscreen that's great for oily skin is Kao - Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++, I've been through several bottles, it's really lightweight, absorbs well without feeling sticky and doesn't pill under foundation. I purchased mine at YesStyle.

I don't have oily skin but I do like some of these sunscreens! I am fermenting another jar of rice water. My daughter asked if l changed my shampoo/conditioner, no just added ricewater to my hair routine, l replied. Nexted jar is for her🙄 Happy Friday Almost the weekend 😊🍁

I really like applying Isdin gel cream spf 50 on my sensitive combo skin, highly recommended

Eder Martínez: Does it contain fragrance? Because all of the ISDIN sunscreens available in the 🇺🇸 contain fragrance. We don’t have their gel cream.

I LOVE ELTA MD UV CLEAR! I bought it from Dermstore as per your recommendation and it performs so well!!! I usually have to use an AM moisturizer before it bc of how well it sops up the excess oil on my face. I've tried the Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV 01 Clear and I really like it too! It dries a bit less matte for me and it feels nicely cooling and hydrating on my skin as well. Recently just bought SUPERGOOP'S MatteScreen spf 40 and im enjoying it! Definitely keeps oil at bay for a large part of the day. :) xo

Supergoop clogged my pores and caused acne. I’m excited to try the Japanese sunscreen if it’s non-comedogenic
