Long head of the biceps brachii (LHB) tendon arises from the supraglenoid tubercle in the shoulder joint hence it's actually good to raise elbows while performing curls.

Try this : Squeeze your biceps at 90° curl And then squeeze ur biceps at shoulder flexion elbow forward curl. You will understand biceps work best when you move your elbows forward but keeping the body stationary no cheating Sorry but gaurav i disagree with this technique you showed.
