Hahaha omg I just laughed so hard!! My old co-worker had a Jeep Compass and it cost her $700 to fix the “shifter” and it only had 40k on it 😂. I do love a good chuckle at the expense of an economy street Jeep.

My 2016 crv se just hit 150k km yesterday. Zero issues since day 1. I did all maintenance my own. just did a complete transmission service Fluid and filters last may. Tested for long trips the longest was Newfoundland to Montreal. Fully loaded inside and roof cargo bag for luggage. I don't like the cvt performance specially going uphill the transmission is struggling compare to traditional geared transmission. and the battery is still original from 2016. I like my crv for being basic no e-parking brake. I like its dual beam headlight, I changed the high beam with novsight led for country side night drive and retain the low beam halogen for city drive.

The cowl issue & ac issue is only the 2014 CRV which also has oil issues! The 2015 CRV however has been great to me the last 3 years! Speaking of 3 years ago, a week after I purchased my CRV, the valve cover started having oil seepage, not bad, not like it was a huge issue, because I drove mine 3 years & just changed it last week & added NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs into it since the old spark plugs we're the old 2015 ones! I live in cali & got my 2015 CRV EX-L for $17 grand, 100,000 miles! The cheapest in Cali I ever seen one go for. Other similar models were either more for good used ones, problematic CRV's went cheaper! The valve cover cover you forgot to mention is a known issue when the car reaches 100,000 plus miles! Other than that, I love my CRV! It's the best car! Better & faster than a Toyota rav 4!

I have this SUV AWD (2014) I bought it three years ago with 17,000 miles. I thought the mileage was a misprint, but was not. As a whole it’s has been a great car. Biggest complaints, no acceleration, needs to come in a V-6 version, heater problem on driver side (will cost $1000 to repair) and computer tracking gas mileage is not accurate and kind of a rough ride. With that being said it’s a great car.

17k miles for a 7 years old car, you probably buy a lime because of these problems. 17k miles is a like new car. Mines is more than 100k miles but no issue like yours.

Just got a 2013 - overall - extremely happy. Runs amazing everything is working perfect great condition. Roomy. It’s excellent…. But 1 complaint…. The drivers seat. I took it for a test drive - no issue. I have arthritis. Picked it up today - took it for a longer drive - uncomfortable. Like really & my main issue is I have pretty rough arthritis - and right now I’m stiff as a board. Pain everywhere. It’s uncomfortable. I’m in a bit of trouble unfortunately because everything else is excellent

CRV has just a couple of pros: not expensive, low gas consumption. And has lots of cons: weak engine/transmission, crazy vibration, weak AC, noisy, leaky gasket, basic features…

That crv in the video for sure needs a paint correction now, paint is fading very visibly, and the headlights need to get polished up then ceramic coated/new clear coat

in that gen , the honda beats the rav4, which did have AT/trans failures, the Honda didn't even w/ the CVT from '15 on

Biggest problem with buying a car this old is it will most likely have a ton of miles on it and I do not want to go into debt. for a vehicle with high miles.

I have a 2016 crv ex L the same color. I'm having vibrating issues with the front brake; I so that the front rotors on the 2014-16 have been a problem. And going down hill the transmission performs like a manual shift. It shifts down as if it's skipped a gear. I'm going have my mechanic check this out because it seems to rough shifting down. I am enjoying the power with this suv, but this issue is very annoying.
@carlosmelendez72477 ай бұрын
That’s the CVT downshifting it does it to help you on not to use yours brake if you want to get out from the downshifting just tap the gas a little bit and is going to get out from downshifting.

Your CR-V is a 2016, not a 2015: 2016 has the LED Daytime Running Lights in the front; 2015 had the single headlamp on each side. Also 2015 has a black "yoke" below the back window; 2016s upgraded to the silver yoke. Our 2016 CR-V Touring was my in-town driver, but it has been on one 4,000 mile trip. Ride is not as smooth as you'd hope (typical Honda), but reliability is great...keep up the routine maintenance.

I almost bought a 15' Crv but when I saw what the 15' Rav4 offered in additional safety features over the Crv I forgot about the Honda. If you are a fan of a vehicles longevity and safety the Rav 4 is a better option. As far as the Crv. When I drove one, my left foot continually came in contact with the e-brake pedal while getting in and out. There are also issues with the CVT making a loud metal on metal noise on a cold start up. I have found the Rav4 as a competitor to the Crv as a better choice but folks, do your research before you make the purchase.
@nathansanchez88193 ай бұрын
Currently going back and forth between the two. Only thing that bothers me is the rav 4s have the recall with the battery which makes a potential fire hazard. Were you able to get it fixed ? Dealer that I’m looking at told me I’d have to sign a waiver because it can’t be fixed

May be careful with the 2013. That was the first year they switched to the CVT Transmission. They did have a lot of issues with that year of CRV mainly regarding transmission failure. I would recommend the 2012 (which is what I bought) because it was the last year with the 5-speed automatic transmission or the 2016-2019 because this is when Honda’s CVT transmissions started getting a lot more reliable

Still driving my 2015 which I bought new. Plan on keeping at least another 6 years, if not longer. Subjectively, Honda interiors don't look as cheap as Toyota's and that 2.4L gas engine shouild last a long time, just do regular oil changes and a bottle of injection cleaner every 15K miles simply because the engine is direct injection only. Edit: I had the battery issue, caused the dash to flicker... 2nd time replacing the battery I forgot to put the cage back on... must have been touching somewhere, as no more issues!

SIR, Their interior material is so so so cheaply made. They are NOT leather. Absolutely not. They're made of some sort of Vinyl that is made to feel and look like leather. Toyotas fare better than the CRVs.
