Whenever I add flaxseed or psyllium to my diet, I end up with terrible gas. Flaxseed especially gives me horrible abdominal bloating, I end up writhing in pain before it exits. Sorry Dr. G., but you may want to add a caveat to your flaxseed and psyllium recommendations in your videos, that some folks can be sensitive and/or quite possibly allergic.

Thank you for verifying that once something is ground up into flour it is refined and our bodies process it into sugar which then is stored as fat. One flour that I like to use but you didn't cover is hemp flour. I love making a Hemp and flaxseed flour mix walnut bread that I enjoy. I even sprinkle some basil seeds on top. It makes the perfect bread to have with olive oil and avocado. Everything in moderation. Bon appetit.

I would suggest to use flaxseed flour in moderation, as it can give constipation. The whole flaxseed is easier on digestion. Remember you need loads of water as well with these. There are a lot of old fashion paint products that are based on the oils, and even plumbing uses this oil with the hemp. I would try to consume this seed with loads of water. That's all

Great question! Most commercially made sourdough isn't fully fermented - it's made with a fermented starter, but has flour added in after the fact, meaning the fermentation process hasn't had the chance to help neutralize the lectins. We highly suggest avoiding it if possible. Thanks!
