But did your patients react to Cinnamon cassia or C. Ceylon? If the problem is just the coumarin concentration, then consuming the ceylan variety would probably fix whatever issue you saw. Also, if both ginger and cinnamon are so widely used and appreciated by an incredible amount of people, wouldn't that mean the problem is likely specific to a few of your patients? If they can't tolerate these, aren't they intolerant to quite a few other "common" things as well?

Is food sensitivity influenced by a person's ethnicity or geographic origin? For example, Indians and East Asians have been using turmeric, ginger, and black pepper for over 5,000 years. Are they less sensitive to these herbs compared to Europeans, Africans, or North Americans? Similarly, are Indians and East Asians more sensitive to Mediterranean spices and herbs? What about sensitivity to other traditional herbs and spices like Ashwagandha, Nutmeg, Mace, Brahmi, Amla, Giloy, Tulsi, Moringa, Cardamom, Fenugreek, Star Anise, Terminalia chebula, Aloe Vera, and Licorice?
