Hey I've learned more from your vids than I have from many of the guys offering 'tips' when in reality they're hawking baits for their sponsors. Keep on keeping it real✌

I watched you & Balkamp talking about a rigs. It was mentioned how the fish get used to seeing these rigs & slow down to biting. Ok now. When watching a gentleman who makes his living managing smaller lakes & ponds. He asked a question about a bass memory. He stated that a basses memory is 15 minutes. I notice a lot of talk about baite work in good because it's something that hasn't been seen much. Thanks for all good info.

The rock pile transitions worked well for us. We always struggled with the grass area and thanks for the tips to fish the ditches or humps with grass.

Great video Jonny! The winter crankbait bite on Lanier is strong and one of my favorite ways to catch huge spotted bass.

Awesome video. I always hit rip rap first in the winter (unless something catches my eye before I get there). My brother and I have argued on the boat before he just can’t comprehend how their would be fish shallow in winter. My home lake in NC it seems like every time we get a winter warm snap we find in about 5-8 foot.

Holypokey what lake? I mostly fish High Rock lake.
@holypokey475 жыл бұрын
22mpb mostly Shearon Harris or Jordan. Haven’t been to high rock in a long time. I fished Badin a few times this year. The yadkin lakes I can only fish on weekdays in the summer (too much traffic) and sometimes it’s hard to pull it off.
@22mpb5 жыл бұрын
Holypokey I went camping at lake Jordan like 2 months ago, tried bass fishing there but only caught 2. I caught a couple of hundred bluegill though, so I just went after them. I also caught 8 blue cats one night on steak scraps lol.

22mpb hey man, you don’t have to say since it’s your home lake and I know you don’t want to spoil any secrets but... my buddy just moved to the area around high rock lake and I want to take my kayak down to visit him (I’m from PA) what should I expect from the lake? Is is deep/rocky/shallow/weedy/etc? Also, is it predominantly a large or smallmouth lake? Thanks!
@holypokey475 жыл бұрын
Matt Seifert high rock is a shallow lake for the most part. It’s the second biggest reservoir in NC. It’s the northern most lake of the yadkin chain with tuckertown, badin, and tillery. Lots of docks and rocks. Only largemouth if you’re bass fishing. They had the bass master classic there in the 90s. It’s a big lake for a kayak.

if you have really clear water, the sun can penetrate more so they could hold deeper correct?

Love the videos but in winter my only thing is I do a lot better on a faster crank. I real fast and stop. That does a lot better in my experience winter fishing than jus creeping it.
