You described the Odyssey perfectly! It feels like it was made for me and has everything I looked for in terms of sound. It's my pause game because I don't know how it could get much better from here without having some serious diminishing returns. Ziigaat has nailed the sound and build of their iems and if they were to just invest more in their included accessories they would kill the market.

yeah i feel like there truly is so much dimishing returns after the odyssey its very technical sounding with all the dynamics too and great tuning

I have all of these except for the Odyssey, and my favorite is the Estrella with the Shortbus Audio tape mod. The mod shifts the subbass slightly to the mid-bass giving the mids more note weight and the overall sound a little fuller.

How does the Odyssey and Arete compare in the upper mids? Also which has less BA timbre?

@@SlumptyDumpty the arete upper mids are slightly relaxed while odyssey sounds more forward and accurate to me. I don’t really think they exhibit the BA timbre at least how i hear it but I assume you would like odyssey more

Odissey looks really Crazy and u did a good job, but im noticing some discrepancies between reviews (maybe tips? idk if u tested also other tip Or qc? Or just differently ears). Let me get to the point (more precisely is Arete vs Odyssey) 1 fresh reviews says that gunfires sounds more piercing on the Arete while the odissey are more safe overall im the trebble area (technically is a little weak point being piercing in apex for example, so he doesn't gain anything saying that, but u say almost the opposite) 2 the arete have an International bump in the 1.5 to 2k so they can sound more airy in comparison to the odyssey (another little dicrepance) 3 odyssey sound stage should be a lot closer and a Little smaller than the arete (i didn't see a clear comparison by u on this side). That's it and even watching others video, things gets even more confusing, I am obviously not criticizing you, but simply noting some contrasting aspects.

The best collab iem isn’t here, The Punch, but your sets here are close in price. Doscincos are the best basshead set above. Heavy bass with better treble than Odyssey. Great tuning. Estrella’s have just a little more treble than Doscincos and has wider soundstage. Arete is the most balanced/neutral of the bunch. Good review. Try to check out the Punch. It’s a tier above these.

i have tried the punch they do sound better than the arcadia but they still aren’t the same level as odyssey to me

@ I’m glad you love them. I can hear the difference in the treble with ESTs. The E50 BA tweeters on the Estrellas are the closest emulation of ESTs I’ve heard in BA treble. The 1 DD and 2 BA drivers of the Odyssey can’t keep up with Doscincos 2 DD 3BA and Estrellas 2DD 4 BA let alone the Punch’s 5 drivers with ESTs. Listen closely to the cymbals etc, way smoother. Punch took some time to warm and open up. After a week I knew how special it was. The treble surprised me how good it was. The sub bass isn’t for everyone but if you need that thump….

I’m really struggling to decide between the odyssey and the arete, I’m currently using the orchestra lite and I’m looking for a similar sound with a little more bass, which one would you recommend?
