Ola Saeed My 3 girls graduated in 3 years, one of them summa. One year of college credit was earned while in high school - dual credit (Texas high schools). Basically some of your high school classes count for both high school and college credit. This greatly helps with reducing the cost of college because dual credit classes are free. They could have easily have picked up another college semester in high school by taking other dual credit classes and testing out of others. If they did that and took summer classes while in college they could have graduated in 2 years. I don’t know how Ashley did it but dual credit, testing out of college courses and summer classes may have been part of it. It’s doable but requires advanced planning beginning in high school. Edit: All three of my kids graduated debt free due to free college credit from dual credit high school classes, testing out of courses, scholarships and savings. If more people knew about dual credit in high school the debt burden from student loans would be greatly reduced.

Pantho Chowdhury A few other tips to graduate in 3 years - my kids didn’t change majors nor did they change colleges, they didn’t do a study abroad and to save money they didn’t have a car in college. My daughter who graduated summa did a summer internship. Also, research the limits on transferred credit including dual credit and credit from testing out. To get a head start on graduating timely, take classes at a community college before you start your first fall semester. Edit: They also didn’t drop classes and only took the classes required for their major and to graduate. I told them once they graduated and got a job they could save their money if they wanted to study for another career or for a graduate degree. But I wanted them to graduate without debt and without me going broke or taking on debt.

Not working and enjoying soap operas does not make anyone a bad feminist. The whole point of feminism to the power of choice. To be able to make our own decisions instead of letting society as a whole (yes both men and women) make our decisions for us. You can be a stay at home mother or like being in a relationship and still be a feminist. You can be traditional or modern and be a feminist. As long as you support women and support the idea of women being free of control then you are a feminist.

Feminism has never been about choice but about liberation from male domination though. Till we achieve that there’s no way to know that women who choose to be housewives are doing it out of their own informed and free will. Also just because they’re choices mades by women doesn’t mean they’re free from criticism. Feminism is about being able to think critically about every aspect of society, not just saying “*~everything a woman does is valid uwu!! ~~
@user-ee8cq9jt3y5 жыл бұрын
@@louetke so your saying, that a woman cannot possibly be capable of making decisions that best suits her in a "male dominated" world, because she is too weak and stupid? She is not capable and needs outside help? She needs to be told what societies views are on certain topics in order to make a "more informed" decision, because she is not capable of actively weighing pros and cons from information she actively sought out? She is not capable of informing herself in the first place and needs a whole movement behind her back to push her forward?! I believe women are more than capable doing all those things on their own, with their own abilities. And yes, feminism and equality IS about choice! What kind of misogynist are you, perluding to women not knowing what they want, so they must be told, and that the ability to have a choice is second place. Smh.

You should think about WHY you’re making the videos. Quality over quantity. Your video on body image might not have got a lot of views, but I’m sure it hit way deeper with the people who did watch it. (I know this because it really hit me!) I almost never share videos, but the things you were saying was almost the exact feeling and conversation I had with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and I was able to share it with her to continue that conversation. Having those types of ‘deep’ chats makes our relationship stronger and I know your audience connects with you more during those type of videos - regardless of how ‘the numbers’ compare with everything else. Think about value in more ways that numbers. It doesn’t matter how many millions you get if you’re not making a significant and positive impact on the people who are watching. 💖 Ps. I’m 28 and still have no idea wtf I’m doing so, look forward to basically always feeling lost 😅🤣

Ashley, I also just graduated university but I’m feeling so good about my life right now because I took time off to focus on my future and mourn my past. We both went through huge life changes and it seems like you aren’t doing so good because you have allowed yourself no time to readjust. Take a vacation. If you don’t take a break soon you will get sucked into the business of every day and you start to lose months to head down, nose to the grind stone mentality. Also, you just went from an imposed schedule to being completely self-scheduled and that isn’t necessarily what is best for you. Consider making yourself a daily cleaning schedule, a set dinner time or signing up for a sport rec league. Anything so that rushing to meet work deadlines isn’t the only thing that dictates your day. If work is the only “important” thing that you have to do every day than any minute not doing it will seem wasted. We are both still sooo young , with probably 70 years of living left to do. Please don’t rush headlong into constant busyness and forget to savour your life.
@sheeatsfish5 жыл бұрын
I really appreciated the time you took to write this out. I'm in the same boat of being a bit aimless as a post-grad. As young people we are going through a lot of important stressful life phases very quickly. It's hard to stop rushing to meet deadlines/"working hard" (at the expense of your health/wellness) in order to gauge success. The phrase "focus on my future and mourn my past" was very beautiful to me. I hope we can all take a pause for a moment and take it easier on our selves as we shift into new phases of our lives.
