Only thing that can survive cooking is prions (Which is the culprit of Mad cow disease) that started in the UK. This is altso why if you are having a buffè you either have to keep temperature above 60 celcius on dishes, or keep it cold. Cold does not kill bacteria or viruses, but it stops them from growing (Not totaly, thats why things will eventually spoil in your fridge) if you want to totaly stop them growing you need to freeze them to -21 celcius.. Source: Worked in a kitchen for years, and this is elementary..

To be honest, only Americans are freaked out or surprised that all the parts of an animal (eg chicken or fowl legs, or most parts of the pig, or things like the tongue or the brain) are consumed - and that they are tasty. I am European, and I grew up delighting in these - because when you grow and slaughter your own animals, you will hardly throw out things, unless actually inedible - and over the centuries people developed tasty recipes for all these. The one part of the animal I would never touch, though, is the nugget.

During this time it’s been hard on my family mostly due to racism. Darting glares when in public (grocery shopping in FL) and people purposely trying to move away from us like we’re walking virus factories. My parents are getting frustrated and once said ..”we’re not even Chinese” but they soon realize it’s not fair or respectful to say that. Yes maybe it came from there but who really knows why or the true origin. Maybe it was like contagion were a bat pooped in a pig pen. (which is a normal food to eat and isn’t exotic.) But we are all human. I can get it, anyone can get it, but being Asian does not mean I automatically have it. Thanks Sonny for posting your travels and humor as it’s a little bit of distraction during this sucky time. 💕
