🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

To be honest I was shocked at the beginning of the video because I'm an Indian and I never knew that Nagaland people ate all these things. Then I remembered/realized that food customs differ vastly from place to place and food sources & culture is directly proportionate to what is readily available in that region. If this is what their ancestors ate and these people have no problem in following that tradition, who am I to judge? Thanks to the team for educating me about a part of my own country and people. Peace.

Unlike China (Where the Mandarin is forced upon everyone, whether Uyghurs , Tibetan or Manchus , and there culture destroyed!) The culture, language and cuisine aren't forced upon anyone! This one on Viet Nam really took the cake for me with the insects. I've always been curious about insects as a food source, but your descriptions were very interesting. I appreciate your sacrifice by taking the plunge each time you eat something truly exotic. As much as I'm curious about the foods you've tried, I'm often turned off by the mere appearance of the food, especially when it comes to tarantulas or fat worms. Many animals became extinct because of ignorant superstitions. If your generation is straying away from these beliefs, it only means the level of education has been improving. I came from a village as well and today only the uneducated folks still believe in superstitions with regards to medication (especially if involving eating wild animals). Likewise, animals are important part of the ecosystem, they help maintain the balance.

Dear world, I know I'm late to comment. But being a indian let me tell uh that most of the naga peoples don't even prefer to touch these kind of foods no matter how much they are starving.....these markets are mostly for the south-asian tourists who visits very frequently over there .....almost none of the naga people prefer such food
