What I find interesting about these conversations is when someone who is black, talks about something like systemic oppression, racism, segregation or being a victim because of historical racism, then in the same breath, suggest that black people should only marry or date within their own race. This mindset will also probably carry you over to black only friendships as well. Is this not basically a form of voluntary segregation? I thought the idea was to integrate and eliminate that feeling of oppression?
@fungdark8270
@fungdark8270 Жыл бұрын
I mean you can focus on systematic abuse or oppression and still think that black people have something to gain by remaining more cohesive as a community or whatever I’m not sure I agree or disagree but I’m not black and for a long time I’ve felt that for the most part the solutions specifically for the black community need to come from within. There are of course overarching solutions that can help people regardless of race

This is why I will always argue just because you experience a certain type of experience does not mean you are the best qualified in how to fix this. If this was true, people suffered abuse or trauma would just never go to therapy, because clearly they could just fix it themselves. If being black meant that you had a perfect understanding of the black experience, people like Larry elder, and Candace Owens wouldn’t exist.

Black people should date and marry who they want, restricting your pool by race/ethnicity is foolish. It’s isn’t just a black thing though, there are plenty of ethnic groups who do the same thing. Remember when Tree of Logic specifically said online Black creators that are men have a fragile victim complex? Like it almost rings true everytime Destiny talks to one. The irony is white people have taught them to behave and believe everything is against them and that they are still victims of slavery. Yes they do have it slightly harder if born into major cities through poverty, not disputing that some social problems exist. Like only a few creators who are black men don't act fragile that Destiny has interacted with I noticed like Aba for example which is wild to me and mind blowing.

If you say law enforcement is an effort to discriminate against criminals…of course it is. The goal is to stop crime. Stop breaking the law and you won’t get arrested. Does this also apply to crimes against property and persons? Is any law simply going to be labelled as an attack on a race or culture that can’t respect laws others or their property?
