Wow. To my knowledge, this is the first video of yours that I've watched. I've been flying whoops for a year now and I've very recently started trying to tune and modify past the pretty basic stuff and rate changes, but I realized that I had absolutely NO idea where to start and not many people cater to tuning whoops without BB. I nearly burned up my FC before I got a little help 😅 Anyway, queue you: dispensing figurative gold that rivals Bardwell and Rosser. Again, my FIRST time watching anything you've made. Pretty much straightforward tutorial - thank you! Like the idea about "FFT maximum" in OSD flight end screen. Seems very useful way how to know real vibration frequency in whoop FC's without flash memory for BF log. Should work for larger quad field tuning as well. Horizon mode is overstated IMHO. Flipping in small apartments works only as kid's entertainment for first few flights. Then it become boring. Flips an other acrobatics are big fun in Acro, but it require way larger space - outside or huge 2-story apartment or mansion type house.

Came across this yesterday. I've been flying in Angle mode for years, but did not know that pitch and roll rates do nada until now. It's true. After watching this, I tried all kinds of stuff with them on my daily driver, and nothing felt any different using the rates in the Rate Profiles tab. I was already using the Angle Strength to make my quad feel smoother [I'm down to 16 and it feels great], but did not know about the pitch_level_expo and roll_level_expo CLI settings. It turns out they're rateprofile dependent, so you can set up to six levels if you want. These CLI settings make a noticeable difference in the pitch and roll, and I'm in the process of finding my buttah zone. That's one of the things I really enjoy about this pastime: there's always something else to experiment with. I've flown the same platform for almost 5 years and it's evolved along with me. Everything I've tried has taught me more - even when I broke stuff. What I fly today is nothing like what came from the factory, even though the parts are almost all stock.

@uavtech2 жыл бұрын
Just for flashing. The flight controller has core "DFU" firmware on it that never gets messed with. All firmware (FW) loads over it. So even if you flash new FW and it gets messed up (USB is.unplugged in the middle of the flash process), you can always reflash because the DFU core FW is intact. Think of the DFU firmware as the operating system and the FW as software loaded on it. Although in computer terms, a better analogy is DFU is the CMOS FW and Betaflight is.the operating system. Your PC has a core firmware in it called CMOS. It.is the first text you see when you turn it on and then the operating system loads to run the PC.
