Beth Hart - 10 years after Star Search

Beth Hart appeared on Star Search in 1993, the last season I worked on the show (I may have even taped her audition). Beth won the grand prize that year and went on to record a few albums and be a pretty big hit in Europe. This video from SoapTalk in 2003 showcases her amazing talent as she sings "Leave the Light On". It starts off a bit tame but it builds to an awesome finish. This is the 1rst time ever hearing this song& Beth Hart singing it was just mesmerizing! I have a cousin who doesn't cut herself, but does do drugs &drinks! Too much, &has been w/ the same man for over 23 yrs now who by the way physically & mentally abuses her! She says she wants out,but loves him 2no end! This song I believe she should listen to. I will try 2get her 2 take some time 2 listen 2 it. I do pray it turns her light on so that shes no longer blinded by what shes endured all these yrs.

She won my heart the very first time I saw her on Star Search! The woman is BAD! Love her wild personality. I watched every performance she did on that show. Her talent was so amazing she performed songs she wrote and would still win every time. No one could beat her.

I totally agree. I remember watching that show at times just to hear her. I knew she would win every time too...and she deserved to. I was 30 when she was on Star Search, and have been a voice teacher for over 30 years. And I knew even then that she was special.

I remember back when I was a kid watching Star Search, she was the main reason that I watched. I loved her so much and was siked when she won Star Search. After she won and was no longer on the show, I didn't really feel as though I had reason to watch any longer. She is an awesome talent today as she was back in the day of star search.
