When those two play together a magic happens, the chemistry is off the scale, and of course Joe is brilliant, but Beth - Beth is incomparable.

I listened to this piece " Rather go blind" sung by Etta James, Tina Turner ,Beyoncè and others. Some were great Interpretations In live others in studio , in movies with choruses, with vocalists, with "tears" flowing from eyes with long eyelashes, all certainly with participation according to their soul, but I can say that, at least for me, Beth really put a soul, through voice and gestures, which encompasses love, fear, jealousy, resentment, anger and, at the end you feel the sweetness and pain together asking not to be abandoned and, preferring to say that it would be better to go blind not to see the betrayal.Especially the one at Paradise in Amsterdam.......Love fromItaly.Roma.

I agree. And one of the best renditions did the 12 year old Angelina Jordan, sitting on a couch, testing her new mic, a gift for her birthday

Sadly we lost the bass player, Michael Rhodes, a few months ago. He was a monster talent and will be deeply missed.

I've been blessed to see Beth Hart live 6 times, starting in 1999 at Chapman College for $5.00. She has been amazing every time. My daughter and I go together to see her. One time my daughter called out for her to sing "Mama". She looked over at us and asked her "Is that YOUR mama?" Pointing to me, she says "This song is for THAT Mama." I cherish that memory. I can highly recommend watching Beth Hart - 10 years after Star Search (yes, she won) on KZbin. She performs "I Leave The Light On". Brings me to tears every time.

Bit late on this - been on holiday - but this is great. I've seen Joe twice (at the Royal Albert Hall) - in concert that is, didn't just bump into him - and I kept hoping he'd introduce Beth as a special guest. Then earlier this year I saw Beth at the London Palladium, and kept hoping she'd introduce Joe. But truth be told, they are phenomenal on their own. I'm late to the blues party, and it was partly through watching videos like this that I found another musical outlet. With Joe at the RAH I was quite a long way from the stage and he was a little miniature man in the distance. But with Beth I was about five rows back, could see everything, every tear (she's so emotional and expressive), every tattoo. And I could hear that voice with my own ears, not just through the sound system. Would see either of them again, any time.

Of course the guitar has a lot of wear. It's older than he is by a decade or two. You'll often see him playing classic and collectable old guitars. He has a huge collection of the best of the old guitars and those previously owned by the greats. And if he's covering a song by someone who's guitar he owns that's usually what he plays. In his cover of Albert King's I'll Play the Blues For You he plays Albert's old flying V guitar. Some of his guitars are worth more than my house!

There's some top flight Blues for you. Yes, Beth and Bonamassa do seem to go together. Joe was a child prodigy ( opened for B.B. King at the tender age of 12) who has become a master guitarist. Beth sings from the Hart with so much passion. Reminds me of Janis Joplin. This whole show is definitely worth viewing.

I believe Ive now had you react to both of them alone and now together. Joe is the greatest living blues guitarist and Beth the best blues singer. You put them together and they are a force of nature Seen Joe 4 times and Beth once but never together. They have worked together very often Joe just played here in NY this month. You should check to see if he is coming to your area Thanks for another great reaction

Ha! I said the same to thing Salvo last year when I saw Joe’s schedule for 2024. I saw him in Vegas last month.that makes three times for me. I don’t know as Salvo went to,see him. Hopefully, he’ll get another chance. You never ever know about such things. Life is tricky.

When Beth Hart soulfully sings that she would rather go blind than see her lover walk away from her, you damn sure believe it. Then Joe's blues licks hit you like a bullet in the heart. Beth blows like a Cat 5 Hurricane, and Joe is a Full Force Gale. Someone get me a double shot of whiskey for my blues.

Joe started playing guitar 🎸 at age t. Age 9, he was playing music professionally with people 20 years older than him. At age 12, he toured and opened for BB King (during school breaks). He has his own record company that is dedicated to the blues and helping out newcomers. He has a collection of 400 guitars and 400 amps. Beth has had a very rough life. In and out of mental institutions due to bipolar, faced homelessness, abused childhood. So glad she got the help she needed. She is more famous in Europe than here. She is way under rated in the states. she plays multiple instruments too. His bass player Michael Rhodes passed away this past March. HE was 69. He was an award winning bass player Listen to I'll Take Care Of You. Joe can also sing.
