@@jamescurfman3284 see that's a tough one because it would be more entertaining if it was a good live performance. Hard to find from their early material otherwise I'd say Babylon is a great song. That being said I think I'd say Ratrace is the best one to react to in terms of having a music video and all that good stuff.

I've been a metal singer for almost 20 years, and I've never seen anyone explain the misconception of "pitches" in screams and growls as well as you do. All that and you are [new] to this extreme world. Very perceptive!

I am a death metal vocalist for over 15 years and I not only use mouthshape but also tongue shape and placement. If I push it down and curl the sides I get an incredible low growl with some sort of metal rattling sound in it. Great video again. Love it

Also, not sure if you’ve gotten the request yet but you really need to react to Spiritbox. Another phenomenal female fronted band. I’d recommend “Rule of Nines” or “Constance”, but that last one is a bit emotional.

Tatiana runs circles around Courtney. I listened to 3 of their songs and just can't get into them. One thing I do know it you can't compare the two bands. Jinjer is much much better.

I definitely recommend Home Back, which they just released the video for yesterday, or Perennial (Live). In my opinion, those are the two most impressive performances Tatiana has done so far.

I love your reactions - your reaction to "Pisces" was one of the first reactions I ever watched, and I keep coming back. You might want to listen to the studio version of "Retrospection" and the just dropped video for "Home Back", in that order. I would suggest having the lyrics up. Very different sides of the same coin.

Aw, come on, Beth! You ARE cool or I would not be subbed to your channel! You're AWESOME! And I know that you are awesome because you are actually trying to learn things that are out of your comfort zone (things that you had never even thought about before you started this channel)! It takes courage and willpower to stay with any training in order to get good at something. That's you, or you would not also be a vocal coach; you'd be just another couch potato (like me). Notice after the two verses when it goes into the middle 8 section with the extended section of screaming. How you visibly see her plant her footing so that her body is braced, grounding herself with good posture to enable her to tolerate to force of the sound coming out. Good growl/scream technique is as much about positioning and body posture as it is about throat relaxation and technique (much like other forms of singing)

A band for you to consider is Wishbone Ash and their song The King WIll Come from the album Argus. They are believed to be the first band to use a dual lead guitar and this prog album was released in 1972. I don't believe it has ever been remastered so you have the original compression to about 30 db of headroom but it is still a masterpiece.

I think it honestly helps her that in Eastern European areas, the tongue tends to rest on the bottom of her mouth, in the west we tend to hold ours to the top of our mouths

I'm pretty sure she mostly screams with the false chords, the higher tones is because she most likely engages her vocal break as a sound in the scream. That's how a lot of shouts are done in the metalcore/hardcore genres. I say this because the rattle is pretty noticeable on every scream, when you hear fry it sounds mostly like an over compressed white noise, I could be wrong obviously.
