Same. That entire end piece is the best part, my opinion-she just really unleashes it all. And while I couldn’t care less about astrology, the theme and lyrics are a pretty clever pairing with the music-again especially at the end. @bo0tsy16 жыл бұрын
Growl and screams are very hard to sustain on the long term, You find a lot of vocal coaches going for teas, or sprays. Most of which are astringent, only serving to constrict the vocal cords. The other option is alcohol which loosens blood flow, and is very bad for your health.

Tatiana is a hell of a vocalist! She puts a lot of male metal vocalists to shame tbh.

@@nhy4313 not really, technique wise she's world class, clean and otherwise. Don't get you're feelings hurt because a woman is thriving in a world dominated by men.
@nhy43136 жыл бұрын
@@MrAcidKnight She is good and I like it but the problem is in this video she just "could" reach that note 7:50 but in live concerts when the final part arrives she just keeps singing in guttural mode, you can check it already with that leaves a lot wish, a clear example that even Chester de Linking part that towards nu-metal leaves humiliating when this in the song "given up" arrives at a scream of 17 seconds counted without cuts or anything and even did it in the live concerts . Just because she is a woman, we should not praise her and pretend that it is better than all men like you, but I love this live session not only for her but for the whole band and I must say that the drummer tried so much more but never they are recognized as they should be.

@William Vera only she hit that high note when i watched the performance in OKC in the states....If i must i will go through the several Pisces live performances and prove to you she alternates between the versions live. As yes im sure some nights she feels that her vocals are better on point than others as they do not open with Pisces.
@darko12956 жыл бұрын
@@nhy4313 lmao, he said that she's better than a lot of metal vocalists, not all men. And as someone who has listened to hundreds if not thousands of metal bands since I was a teen when I got into metal, I would agree whole-heartedly. She easily puts most nu metal/metalcore vocalists in her pocket with her range alone and her growls/screams are easily clearer and better-sounding than many death metal bands. You sure got your panties in a twist when someone suggested a woman is doing a better job at this than many men.

A fun experiment I've seen has been someone asking random people in the streets how easy they think the growl/screams in metal is to do, and to try to give them their best attempt. It always makes the ones who actually attempt admit that it's a lot harder than they thought. :P I must say though, the instant I saw you were going to react to Jinjer - Pisces, I thought "oh this is going to be good". I've seen quite a few other vocal coaches react to this specific song now and they all get super surprised at the initial juxtaposition, but each and every one has so far been surprisingly tolerant/enthusiastic about it after the first shock wears off. I say surprisingly, because I still don't expect metal, especially that particular style of metal, to be as commonly accepted "out there" as it might seem, sometimes. Regardless, love the analysis, you found a few details no other vocal couch pointed out as well, which just makes me appreciate the song (and Tatiana's skills) even more now, so thanks! :)

Tatiana's singing voice is heavily influenced by reggae, R&B, and 70's soul rock, as well as the 90's pop-rock and hard rock and Nu-Metal, and you can really hear it.

8:05-8:10 is probably the cutest thing I'll see in 2019 lol...your inner child released completely. Great reaction--your enthusiasm for this is what music is all about. Really good analysis, btw. This band has blown up over the last 18 months or so, and quite well deserved. Not only is Tatiana, the singer, super talented, but the rest of the band are killer as well, and they've got some great songs. . Like several others, I would suggest Ghost Love Score by Nightwish from the Wacken 2013 show. Another super talented female singer to bedazzle you: the 6'1", Amazon Warrior Queen herself, Floor Jansen, :). In her long retired Xena outfit, so that's a bonus lol.

I am 60 years old. Grew up on led zeppelin, the who, zz top, etc. I have never found any appeal with the modern heavy metal, especially with growling. Never liked growling. There is something different with this jinjer. I don't know what it is. Is it the female "tenor" and tone to the growling? I don't know...but I am mesmerized by it. The music is good too...fantasial.

There's a guy called "J reacts", who apparently is a sound engineer and has his own studio, who said the same thing: he was never much into growling and screaming because he's never heard it being so well done as Tatiana does it, even after he obviously recognized that this song has vocal overdubbing.
@lawrenceeason80075 жыл бұрын
@@Module79L yeah, something about her. It is also the musicianship and the musicians themselves. The complexity of their playing, and they also don't seem rushed. A lot of this type of music seems rushed to me. I don't care for that approach

First of all thank you for this warm and emotional reaction. I do not settle in the English language. I use the Google translator ... I apologize for that. I am an old-style rocker. (Metallica, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, etc.) But every now and then I'm looking for a little variety. Unfortunately, this growling is not my taste. But in this song I totally love it. It fits so well when you read the text. I am totally entranced by this perfomance. But I would like to give another reaction to your reaction: It is really amazing to see how a person can be happy. Your eyes shine like a child's at Christmas. You are absolutely gorgeous. Once again, thanks for the heartwarming video. Keep it up. If you have time I would be happy about another Nightwish reaction. Especially about "The Poet and the Pendulum" Live at Wembly 2015 would be very happy.
