I had a catheter in for 10 days. Was sore for that time period but was up and walking. At two weeks started light exercise. My doctor recommended simple because of the size of my prostate. He does both open and robotic.

Unfortunately yes, my surgeon tells me it should last for at least 10-12 years before possibly needing another operation
