Im having, I think a similar issue where the back wont go all the way up.. the kidney rest is down and will not go up or even make a motor sound like it's trying too... it will make a motor sound when I hit the kidney down button. But it's the Old 6500 hd with the red sticker.

yes, there are collision microswitches and one of them is out of adjustment.

completion of the Schaerer AXIS 400 operating table, error code E12: Calibrating Data Failure. Data from position sensors doesn't match up with main controller board's data. The table must be recalibrated. please help master Better Biomed

With the microswitch problem, why didn't they use a small hole in the moving rod of the kidney bridge, and a lightsensor/detector ? That way there are less mechanical parts and less wear and tear.

The microswitch is cheap, sealed, easy to adjust and test compared to an optical detector. An optical detector could give a false positive if blood or debris fell down there - which is guaranteed since it's surgery.
