Isn't folding the turn here a bit too pessimistic? The HJ could be check-raising with a ton of his draws/weaker pairs as semi-bluffs, and even against two pairs/sets you have some equity. Would you only continue with two pair and better?

I think it's optimistic to put 100bb through the middle with TPWK on a board with reasonable 2pr+ combos against the average person at this limit. If I had more info, opening up my commitment range to include QT can certainly make sense though.

@@ThePokerBank That makes sense, I guess I just saw this as a spot I would semi-bluff a ton of my draws (if I were villain). But of course, the average player at this limit probably check-raises the turn with less bluffs and plays more straightforward (absent more specific info)

betting the turn definitley much much worse than check. ask yourself if you were your opponent，how many combs you gonna cr the turn(like 5x, 6x, Ax with A of heart, and any 2 hearts combs lower than T ) , if u just check call those hands u definiely not a winning player. therefore, your weak Top pair should check the trun, control the pot to not growing too qiuck and if the river not too bad u can call yout opponent's donk bet. another reason checking the turn is make your checking range more strong, think about if you just have 2 overs on the turn.

because noone can play perfect GTO. most people dont even know what it is. many of the ones that do know actually don't study modern GTO, they at best have read the GTO principles book half heartedly - applied it while failing and came to the conclusion that they are better off playing like they always have :^)

I suspect it's because GTO is hard/scary, and also not *directly* applicable in the games that 98% of players play in.

Is your plan to call the turn and call off on all rivers except the 4-straights? Do you check-behind if villain checks most rivers to you?
