well i can confirm this is AMAZING! default opentrack profile, and i lowered the eye tracking yaw range to 10 and eye tracking pitch range to 20... it is seriously PERFECT.. waaaay better than track ir, way better than just opentrack with trackai, and i never had tobi, but im sure its the exact same thing... for 30 bux... everyone should get this... both on msfs dcs and assetto corsa, zero issues

Always enjoy your channel. Any idea when Beyond ATC will be available? Would love to use it for practice in between Pilotedge and Vatsim. Sometimes it's great to fly offline but with good ATC and traffic visibility and management.

love your videos as always, just one suggestion, you can move your camera to the bottom left corner and shrink it a bit so that way it wont be In the way of important switches and stuff like that. just a suggestion. i wish i could go to flight sim expos but that would cost me a fortune where I'm living sooooo yeah sucks to be me.

I bought beam eye tracker standalone version. Hooked it up to a Webcam and open track latest version and I can't get it to work with any game. ATS, ETS2, DCS and flight simulator. Doesn't work. Any suggestions.

Have you ever used the Tobii just with opentrack with out beam eye tracker? It does work quite well with MSFS when you delete the Tobii profil inside MSFS and configure the tracking profile through open track.

@@G_de_Coligny Good question: I like to have different acceleration factors for up, down and left right. If you search youtube for Headtracker+ von +Tobii: +Tobii+ Eye +Tracker 5 +mit +opentrack+ nutzen! (sorry i could post the link. The channel name is Flight Level ) and it explain the improvements quite well.

Trackir looks more responsive, looks like there is a delay between the movement of your head and when you see the ingame movement. Is that the case or the recording?

You had the transponder on 2225 instead of 2226, that's why you got reset transponder. You set it good at preflight, don't know how it got on 2225.

Hey Overkill. Nice channel. Love it. Now I got a problem that I can't find a solution for regarding OpenTrack and Beam Eye Tracker. I followed Beam Eye Tracker's instructions to install it and when I come to OpenTrack, I don't see Eyeware Beam listed under INPUT. I cannot find any help regarding a missing app in that list of inputs. Do you have any idea what the problem might be or how I can get Eyeware Beam to be listed as an INPUT? Thanks! ​​@@OverkillSimulationsyes, yes and I have game mode on as instructed. Is that what you mean? Also I have not uninstalled Track IR but it's not running. I don't use any other tracking software other than Track IR. Just curious if anybody else had this issue.

I know that they already control AI pushback, but I wonder if BeyondATC might have or be considering providing a pushback service for the player-flown aircraft, maybe as a future addon? I know that they're already really busy, and I'd certainly vote for the early release, but having a consistent voice interface between the cockpit and all services outside of the cockpit would, for me at least, add to the immersion. Alternatively, maybe they could cooperate with an existing pushback system developer, similar to what they did with the co-pilot software in their latest video, to achieve a similar outcome.

Tried Beam but could not get on with it you need Beam and open source running 2 types of software track ir is better for me only one software running. Maybe it was my web cam it was on there recommend list but i think you need a good webcam 60fps one i think its a good alternative to Toby eye tracker but it will not replace Track Ir for me at this point. But Beyond ATC is on another level it will bring the sim to life for me

Is eye tracking in practice better than head tracking? I worry eye tracking might introduce variables where you don't really need them. But I have only used trackir up to now.

I use Tobii Eye Tracker and have head tracking basically 98% and eye tracking 2%. Otherwise when on takeoff roll or your final approach, especially when "scanning" between the instruments and visual picture, the camera moves around so much and is really disorientating. Small eye adjustments should make very small, slow movements within the screen and head movement do the majority, otherwise it's way too much.

@@themorethemerrier281 I haven’t tried without, but personally I’d imagine so. Small glances or looking up with your head but needing to see a bit further, eye tracking allows for you to just extend that view as it would in real life. For me the immersion is great with head and eye tracking.

man I've been going through such a roller-coaster this week. I literally bought the Tobii on sale last week, then found videos saying it sucks with MSFS, then found other videos that say it's soo much better using Opentrack which I was happy with. Now hearing Beam Eye tracker can achieve those result with my logitech webcame and software? it seems to good to be true. I think this will be an opportunity to try them both and see which is best. Also there is NO real info on beameye tracker, like propoer real, long term reviews. It's all marketing from the dev team and reviewer plants so far...

Looking forward to Beyond ATC but I still think I'll hold for a short while. I'm not a huge fan of AI in the first place but then I hear it refer to McCarran airport as M C Carran, it doesn't sound natural whereas Beyond ATC is supposed to sound more natural. However, I will say that they're making great strides as far as getting this together and I know, I'm being nit picky here.

Beam Eye Tracking Delay for me is noticable. A problem I do not have using Track IR. Probally this is not relevant if you are not used to TrackIR but make sure you test it for free before buying
