Seeing the prison calls is so wild because he seems like a normal guy. Showing an emotional side, chatting with his family, laughing. But we're all reminded that Veronica will never be able to chat or laugh with her family again because of his anger issues, and that his love and loyalty to his family clearly did not extend to Kelly, who he was happy to frame for Veronica's murder. This wasn't a one-off either, bc he clearly had been abusing her for some time. Some people can flip a switch and hide their evil ways. I hate seeing him laugh and talk anything staying positive knowing what he did to her. 😢

That is impossible... Sadly. Half the country doesn't believe that's actually a real thing. They believe the woman should submit to the man in a relationship at all times. Even if there is abuse. Hell, half the country is trying to get rid of divorce making it impossible for abused victims to run from their abusers.

No, they don't. Most of the time, people have no real desire to help or even listen. My sons and I went through hell, and I still have PTSD with certain smells, flashbacks, or even thinking of the good times will mess with my psyche. Nobody truly gets it unless they've been there themselves. When the police really don't care, trust me when I say no one honestly will help you.

A LOT of people who have never been in this situation ask the same question. It's not always easy for the victim to get out of the situation. Often times there are deep emotional issues that cause someone to stay or keep going back.

Some departments have small budgets, or mismanage funds, and are running outdated cameras because they don’t have the means to replace them. My local PD barely has enough money to get their vehicles repaired. A town of only 900 people. Our taxes are barely enough to cover the three part time officers that the department employs.

If you weren’t even expecting your family to reach out to you ever again, you’re definitely guilty. If you’re in the county jail and you’re wrongly accused of something awful, you’d definitely be checking for your family for support. Or so they’d at least know what’s going on with you. The fact that he didn’t even check the visitation log, he knows he’s guilty.
