Air Force One is a call sign, not a plane. When the president is on board the 757, its Air force One! When no president is onboard, it uses its tail number. And yes, many of those features you describe come standard on the 757 and all modern Boeing aircraft.

Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Windshere warning and ground proximity warning system is standard on 757 and really all commercial airlines. TCAS is FAA mandated. Stop having AI write your scripts 😂

One thing I remember how W Bush was on Air Force one and it kept moving during the attacks on 9/11. They didn’t dare land until they knew what was going on. My heart was in my throat praying that the attacks were not going to include the president.

This complex journey was necessary because of wartime conditions, logistical challenges, and security concerns. Roosevelt's health was also fragile at the time, making the trip particularly arduous.
