Have you never used the hammer and chisel chip removal technique before? 🤣 The irony of that "burn in" sticker next to those resistors wasn't lost on me either.

actually I never actually paid attention to that sticker. had to look back after your comment. weird but funny alright. those Resistors are fine btw, 47 ohms each .

@@8bitmanshed Good that they are ok. I have an A600 with a burnt serial port resistor, it got so hot it left a small pit in the board! No idea what happened (was bought like it) but the CIA chip was also dead so something bad I suspect.

yeah someone's been at it from all angles actually. I've a feeling it's a board someone got to "learn" how to fix stuff but gave up after they realised you need more than a screwdriver and soldering iron
