I agree with the eff guy on some points. I agree with him that the slums of cape town ect. Need more family and community culture. It helps with crime, rapes, children schoolgrades and much much more. By the by, that is correct everywhere in the world. That said it is not easily fixed at all. I live in the rich part of the world and we simply demolish large parts of our ghettos. It works but even for us at a very large social and financial cost. Not a easy decision to make at all.

Nationalisation is not the panacea to South Africa's current problems. Nationalisation increases the fiscal burden on the Government and limits the diversification process. This in turn exposes the Government and state as a whole to int'l market risk. This also has a potential of proliferating the starvation of other developmental projects because in times of dwindled mineral prices the government would have to undertake huge recapitalization programmes to keep the mines afloat.
@SifisoMaxwellMahlangu
@SifisoMaxwellMahlangu 7 жыл бұрын
Diversification can be met by a flexible, dynamic and agile government such as public companies. Warren Buffet owns 50 companies. We don't need an international market as part of our recapitalization. I studies information systems , but I am very prolific with economic standards, and what you just said is BS!

Nationalizing is a mistake. All countries that have tried it failed miserably. The market should be free of nationalizations and strict Government regulations, this is the only way of having the companies invest all they have to provide the best product at the best price. When you have nationalizations this doesn't happen, these state owned companies don't face competition so service, product and price are shit.
@SifisoMaxwellMahlangu
@SifisoMaxwellMahlangu 7 жыл бұрын

+Max Payne Bro, look. The DA have done absolutely nothing for South Africa, being a black person and representing DA means that you are lost, Mmusi is a puppet and we can see that he has no power as the leader of DA, you and I know that if ever DA wins the national election he will never become the president of the country, it is no secret that DA does not represent the black lower and middle classes, it caters for black top classes and white people of all classes. I see nothing good in such governance which does not acknowledge the ground workers, I will forever stand by the ANC and support the Economic Freedom frighters for the fact that they focus on lower class workers.
@nickboyce5850
@nickboyce5850 9 жыл бұрын
+Bhoni Maboga The DA have not done much for the country because they haven't been governing the country like the ANC has. When the DA has governed (the Western Cape) more services were delivered to poor communities. I think the DA could do more in the Western Cape and it is up to all responsible citizens to hold them to account and demand change where we, as citizens, want to see it. The ANC doesn't care about the poor. If the EFF cared about the poor they would be talking about free healthcare and free education and improvement of infrastructure in townships instead they talk about "nationalisation" as if mines are the life blood of this country. Everyone needs their basic rights to be met and, I agree with the Agang representative, there needs to be better infrastructure in townships so that they can be self-sufficient and become towns and cities and not just remain in poverty.

The is a million dollar question that our government must ask or look around who is working at the moment you will find out oldest people are the ones who are working in south Africa government. In our parliament are all most old all them only EEF members are young youth who trying they level best that old people must step down for the best future generations to have better education and land belongs to them black or White, coloured, Indian who are born in south Africa

To think leadership in fragmented Africa can emancipate Africans is wishful thinking. It is only when the majority of the led are fully enlightened on the canons of physical, social and divine providence(morals) that majority sustainable development can take place. And this can only be attained by having an inward looking all African integrated economy to be able to amalgamate skills and technology that can produce goods and services to be traded at global levels! Ex - President of India Professor A. Kalam once said a nation can command respect in the world only and until it has something to deliver to the world. If we want to be partners with the globe's strong, we have to contribute significantly to the modern world.

Not to discriminate based on age but how can a person who is 50 address and create legislation for a 19 y/o who will have to carry over that law to their children and tell them it is progressive. This ANC dude beats around the Bush when it comes to Cape Town. Cape Town's youth are going in two directions fast. Those who have not conformed to a universal etiquette, diversifying and understanding the fundamental codes of navigation in the jobs and education sector have lost the plot to independence because of 1. unrealized ideals of socio- cultural expression. Cape Town is the design capital of the world for 2014. Yes we dont have jobs, yes we dont have the best education- but at some or other point our passions are going to be our habitus in various fields of social capital. we need to start looking after our own based on who our own are

I'm not not an ANC fan or at least not the Jacob Zuma ANC; Fransman did a good job shutting up the EFF. "There are no mines in Michels Plain,so how is nationalizing mines going to benefit the people of Michels Plain. The EFF just cant get it into their thick heads that taking land is not going to solve S.A's unemployment problem. Another question the EFF couldn't answer which is how they are going to go about stopping corruption during the process of distributing resources.

1) Upon nationalizing then you distribute evenly then Mitchell's Plain benefits. Christy my friend it will.2) The current laws that curb corruption are almost enough but as long there is no will from any leadership the mechanism will never be enough. State agencies should have the necessary relative autonomy, which will rid them from micromanagement and manipulation by politicians. Heads of the National Prosecuting Authority, the Public Protector, the national police commissioner, and all Chapter 9 institutions should be appointed by a joint merit-based process that involves the executive, parliament and judiciary, and not be appointed by a president who can use his or her capacity to appoint in order to manipulate those appointed.

Ayanda Mali, come to think of it; the government cant run the current set of resources under their dominion, to add mining resources will just mean another bucket filled with money for some greedy politicians to tap from.

'born frees' - free from what and to do what? and why were these people allowed to unashamedly suggest that tax-payers should shoulder the cost of the labor force of companies owned by those who can and should afford to pay salaries to workers?
