Maximize Yields Next Season Here: gofyi.ly/453535E4

Hey Andy, train guy here. Y'all need to look at getting a fuel and tool cart like the Millennial Farmer has. Keep your equipment and trucks in the fields longer. Something minor breaks you'd have tools, maybe parts to get back in service quicker. Maybe your wife or Mom can drive it to a worksite. God bless your family that the harvest continues well.
@davedammitt7691 Жыл бұрын
Millennial Farmer has a lot fewer acres, and has that fuel rig because a sponsor provides it for free. More pieces of equipment require more people to run them around. Andy's family hasn't run a successful farming operation for 150 years because of pure luck. They know what their requirements are. Some things are in the "would be nice to have" category, rather than real needs. Some farms want huge shops and grain handling systems, others prefer to invest elsewhere.
@sales21stcentry Жыл бұрын
@@davedammitt7691 I don’t know if that is correct they just got an s780 and the extra hours that they put on the combine would pay for a fuel trailer within 2 years

Agree on the trailer. The more u can stay in the field and not putting on extra hrs is a plus

@@davedammitt7691I think all he is saying is that time is money and being more efficient would benefit an operation Andy’s size. Don’t think 25-30k would hurt them if it meant added efficiency.

You don't need to convince Andy, he has been complaining about not having one for ages, you need to convince his dad or one of the other elders who own enough of the farm to spend its money.

Just out of curiousity, how come the combines don't cut a path sideways through the corn to make it easier for you to cut through instead of going alllll the way around the ends all the time?
@aTrippyFarmer Жыл бұрын
Corn is harvest with the rows. You can pick across the rows for a short distance, but you won't get all of the corn ears in the head. It's just not worth wasting any crop.

@aTrippyFarmer Жыл бұрын
Legally, the semi trailers can hold around 950 bushels of corn...maybe a little less. If it's dry, heavy corn, you can fit a little more than 1000 bushels on.

Andy... It looked like Lenny was enjoying some Dad time checking the equipment, looks like farming is in his future. Would it be cost effective from a fual usage stand point to trade in ya'lls current grain cart for one of the J&M 22 Series grain carts that have a higher capacity? I went to their website and their largest capacity 22 Series cart holds like 1412 bushels. I noticed when you did a time lapse it sure looked like you were averaging two combine hoppers per load in the cart. Also how many grain cart loads does it take to completely fill the haul trucks?
@aTrippyFarmer Жыл бұрын
It takes 2 full combine loads to fill a semi. When the combines are full and dumping while harvesting, they actually can dump upwards of 6-650 bushels off before they are empty. A bigger cart always helps, but you will always have a limiting factor somewhere even if it isn't the cart. A full grain cart can fill about 1.4-1.5 trucks.

I watch a ton of ag KZbin so I apologize if you have answered this question either in comments or in a video prior but I was curious if those products that you talk about at the beginning of this video, especially the fungicides, would completely prevent white mold kill off in bean? I’ve seen many people that have mentioned white mold and how it caused quite a hit in yield so I was wondering I guess if a single pass with a premium fungicide is enough to prevent white mold or if not, how would you choose a product to fight such an issue in your field?
@aTrippyFarmer Жыл бұрын
We are further south than a lot of the other KZbinrs, so we do not deal with white mold currently. Fungicides would definitely help, but I am not sure which one is the best. Many of the fungicides that we use aren't specifically targeted at white mold.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Just ran the Chinese Parent Company called ChemChina, or ''Syngenta,'' out of the state. Siting it is on a list of Chinese military Companies. There is a in depth article on it, online. Along with a video of the press conference. Looks like more money being sent over seas, and not staying stateside by patronizing this business. Employing a few local people doesn't benefit anyone if the intention is malice, to begin with. Just wanted to make you aware of the company you're pushing on your audience!

Name one agricultural chemical company that isn't either owned by a foreign entity or sourcing raw ingredients from China? That is the nature of the global economy. I have had nothing but great results from Syngenta's products, and the American employees that we have dealt with since long before their sale to ChemChina are still as reliable and effective as always. What malice could China gain from by harming our agricultural system? They literally need our crops to feed their gigantic population. The cheaper our food is the better!
