All i want from Subnautica 2= -Return to the Subnautica 1 formula of terror & difficulty. Not below zero (Wich i still like very very much) -Much, much bigger map -Return of the sea moth & cyclops. a new Medium sized sub between those 2. Or a new version of the cyclops like the Atlas, or heck the atlas as the ultimate sub -More items, furniture & fluff for bases.

If I had to guess the story could be something as you are part of an altera team either exploring more of 4546b or a new planet. Your team could either be placed there purposely or placed there via a crash like the first game. In the event of micro transactions I don’t think that there is a problem with subnautica adding skins to the game as long as it doesn’t have any impact in game. They could also possible not have said micro transactions to not get rid of the possibility of DLC but who knows.

There is a video from Anthomnia, where they talked with a developer about some details and rumours. For example, there they confirmed, that the pictures are indeed in-game screenshots of the current development state. There is also much more information on many aspects you talked about, so to anyone, who wants more specific information, give it a watch !

I think co-op or even split screen would be fun for the post game option. Maybe a harder mode where resources are harder to get so you could be challenged or work with a friend. I think a lot of people like the idea of sharing a base together. If they do offer co-op I hope they add an option to teleport to your friends .

I hope they do like the forest, the game is not too difficult to play alone and not too way easy with friends. The opposite game is grounded, although you can play alone, the difficulty level is designed for co-op, so single player will struggle with certain oppositions

One of the devs said in the subnautica discord server that although the game doesn't have microtransactions now there are plans to add them in the form of expansion packs, where after launch they'll release skin packs on the steam store to purchase.

I think maybe the games as a service statement, since it was from a finacial report by Krafton, was just some suits entirely not getting that there's a difference between early access and live service games. I might be hard coping tho, idk.

it sounds great we'd likely get co-op in the game and it is also great it is optional so i can play the entire game solo or with friends and we'd get the same experience either solo or together and i do hope we'd also get in game proxy chat and radio with our machines for obviouse reasons as we would be in seperate machines freguently and same machine freguently too

tbh, i would be fine with unlocking skins by playing the game. It would make your save feel more like YOUR save if you get what i mean. And i always wanted to name my knife and color it, so it would be cool if you could just color your tools as well, just like with the vehicles.

Fingers crossed they go for the same Thalassophobic type layout like in the original. Below Zero really missed the mark when they went for the more claustrophobic layout. I also hope they get the original composer back to do the music. Below Zero's music was ok, but it was nothing compared to the original.

A co-op story mode would be great if it focused on research. I.E. each player is a member of a research team and has specific goals. Maybe a team of four with their own storylines that converge near the end. 1. Team Lead 2. Xeno-Biologist 3. Xeno-Engineer 4. Xeno-Geologist

Would love to be able to play multiplayer. That's what I think they could do is that they could make a multiplayer server, so invite max as many seats as the lifeboat has and only those who are with from the beginning are Welcome to that server. And the logoff button is in the bed and for other players you are asleep. Will like it, play with the group of friends. And if someone escapes with the rocket, only they escape, but the others have to make a new one. Would be funny, the group makes the racket but one of the gang steals it and runs away🤣

This is everything I said I wanted in a new Subnuatica (or so it seems). Focus on exploration maybe science, new biomes, new area's, deeper depths, more base building capability, and a long term development plan to keep adding more it.. (it's an Ocean world, so its not hard to just keep adding more depth, and biomes, etc. through a long term development cycle). I hope sooo hard and pray to the gaming gods that they dont fuck this up...

Hopefully they will keep to their explanation of how they are doing their "live service" (which is essentially just continual updates like the previous games) and they don't actually go down the live service hellhole, but I guess we'll see. When I read "pursuing the fandom snowballing", I'm thinking there is someone high up the ladder who only sees the money and not the game, the kind of someone who also has a lot of influence in how the game will turn out.

To be nice to play in Co-op, the game needs way more content first. The 2 games so far are really good as chill survival solo games, but I really don't see myself playing with someone in this environment

Personally I think co-op would be amazing, but I almost want it to be in similar style to the multiplayer mod. Same game just with mechanics for 2+ people. Also I am kinda hoping that subnautica will actually be on a different planet like Subnautica. Below zero was kind of a flop because the creatures were too similar (probably because they were on the same planet) but also the map was so tiny. Hoping the next map will be OG Subnautica size or even larger then that.

I'd really like it if people had the same reaction to "The future is all digital" as they do to "Games as a service." Especially with recent events with Sony and Funimation and others. Now, On to what I'd love to see. I'd love to see a whole different planet, creatures and story as well as different ships, technology and even timeline. They could go Retro Futuristic Sci-fi or just a different feel to the matchbox Tonka Toy kind of bland white aesthetic and company story. Which I don't feel needs to be told anymore. As a player of course. Still, I sincerely hope they put a lot of effort and most of all creativity and passion into this game and give us something unique and worth wanting to buy and support them.
