Do you notice that Sam's most informative and fun interviews are with the country singers? Maybe it's because they don't take themselves as seriously as the rock guys. Just my opinion. Great show with Big and Rich!

"The eighth of November" touched my soul when I heard it the first time. I remember to well having a fully auto M-14 in my hands when I was 18. Jerry Nadler says our minds aren't developed to handle a rifle at eighteen years old.. Personally I think Nadler's mind is a myth at any age. Big and Rich are true Patriots. God Bless them.

Big and rich were definitely one of me and my friends favorites growing up. Horse of a different color is one of those albums that we all were listening to and we knew every single bit of. Crazy enough, out of nowhere, Cowboy Troy moved to the town I was living in. If you saw the town you'd think "why on earth here?", I still haven't met him yet. My brother knows him though and says he's the coolest guy ever. Idk if he's still making music, but id love to eventually play some guitar with him or something. Big and rich are truly awesome dudes who really just wanna spread peace and love. The best. Same as Sammy. There's a reason half of his songs all have the word "love" in them. Also speaking of Elvis' birthday. That's my birthday. And David Bowie's.

I stumbled across this by sheer accident. How? I don't know. I have heard of Big & Rich, but not a fan of todays country "music" and haven't listened to the genre I once loved in over 2 decades. I can't name a single song of theirs and only know of John Rich for being on the "Celebrity Apprentice" MANY years ago. I have to say, these 2 seem like the most humble people, I went ahead and watched a couple of other videos on the right side of my screen, suggestions to see them interviewed by Dan Rather. I was breathless hearing about their upbringings, more so Bigs. As a singer/musician and leaving the music scene in 2002, at age 28 to come back to it in 2020 and currently 50 in 2023 after years of writing and learning how to play multiple instruments in short time, for 2 different genres, neither being country, might I add. Listening to their "advice" if you will, inspired me. Their Faith in GOD. Their love for veterans. Their love for family and core values. Their charity work. Their love for this country that has gone to Hell. All of it, every word they said and the conviction in their voices as they said it. Gives me hope for my own aspirations as I record my debut album. These men are fantastic role models to their fans and listeners. Although I can't name a single song of theirs as of this comment (3/3/2023) but I will be sure to listen to them. Maybe one day, Sammy Hagar will come to my place and talk to me. I will be sure to mention this show and the message it personally sent to me. By the way Sammy, I am a Leo. God Bless!!

Well, here is my take: I never liked "Country Music" because it was BORING. But 1 day my I was floating on a boat in the Sacrament delta and I listened to "Horse of A different Color" and WHO doesn't Like THAT album? That album transcends EVERYTHING into KICK ASS music. the entire album is a JEM Read between the lines is NOT necessary..it is all there in BLACK n WHITE audio. The WORDS are easy to hear and understand...PROBABLY the most INFLUENTIAL "Country" album EVER...uless you wanna argue that KID ROCK's "COWBOY" did more...and THAT is a DANG good argument, BUT "Big n Rich" are COUNTRY and Kid Rock...and I want just (1) 6 pack of MULDOWNEY-MulVEINEY Bud Light...in the event that 6 pack becomes as valuable as a Barry Bonds rookie baseball card..Barry is the all time home run king...right? I don't give a SHIT if he injected HEROIN to hit balls like that, He hit baseballs BETTER than ANYONE ever...and i like watchhing him bat...but watching MULDOWNY makes me PUKE a six pack..THROW UP in my MOUTH..but, ENTERTAINMENT rules. Hello? And I would vote for JOHN RICH as our next president...he is a better singer than Gavin. AND he would SECURE the BORDER...just like the Humus(humass?) are trying to do...or the Isralies, or Russians, or the UKRANIANS....and China just keeps buying up land NEXT to our MILITARY BASES... but it is FORBIDDEN for a Chinese person to sell land to a US citizen...HELLO? Big n Rich...how did those 2 find each other? It is like Venus colliding with Mars ..

My very loud stoner rock band was playing a small dive bar here in Nashville in like 2015-16 and unbeknownst to us Big & Rich came into the bar while we were playing. I was mid solo and noticed a man in a giant cowboy hat had walked right up to the stage and was into the song. I looked closer and it was John Rich. After we finished the song he complimented us and bought us all a round of PBRs (the beer of choice at this particular bar). He then shook my hand and went back to Kenny who stayed in the back. Pretty surreal moment that I definitely won’t forget. JR gets a bad rep, and maybe it’s deserved on some occasions. I have never been a fan of their music, but respect their willingness to try something different. I became a fan after that night as the gesture was pretty cool when he didn’t have to do anything.

This is John Rich's house at the end. It's one of the only places that overlooks Downtown Nashville and Vanderbilt University Stadium. It's on Love Circle just under Love Park -which is at the top of the hill. It was a big deal for John Rich to build that house, especially one that big. All the people living there did not want that house built, for the unwanted attention it would bring. But with a lot of fighting, politics, building permits, etc. -he finally was able to build it.
