That small little kitchen in between the large kitchen and dining is called the service area. I worked for a multi millionaire that had the service area kitchen too. It's used to store fine China, crystal and silver and for service between courses during formal dining parties. These owners have staff of 5 per day and upto 15 staff for large formal parties. It's a lifestyle I witnessed that few get a taste of. I love your videos Big Banks! Keep them coming.

I also worked as the housekeeper for a multimillionaire family, and got to work at some very special parties. I later worked on a billionaire's estate in the home of his sister. Those were two very different experiences. In the latter, I came away with the realization that despite all their $$$$$$$$$$$, I was much more content and satisfied. I felt sorry for the sister's kids. They had everything money could buy, but precious little love and attention. The nannies did their best. The other family would never do nannies. They were extremely family oriented, and the entire large extended family lived in the same neighborhood until the daughters married and moved. They were very good to me.

Couple more comments: You mentioned that the paint that's peeling/cracking may be lead paint? I don't think so. Remember that the house was updated by I guess the last owner? That's evident with the beautiful updated kitchen high-end appliances (that's my fave room) and appearance of some of the other spaces. The orange paint that's peeling and cracking a lot is I think a more modern color. I think the peeling, cracking of wall paint there and in other areas and even the heaving of the floor boards in the kitchen and other areas is likely due to big swings in temperatures bc there's no hvac system functioning in the house for so long...and maybe excess moisture creeping in too. BTW: The built-in stainless steel container thing you said you didn't know what it was that's branded "Therm-a-dor, (emphasis on the therm,) is, I think a warming oven of some sort. Thanks! It's been fun to explore this house with you!
