Wow!!! I just happened to come across this video. My father was the original architect who designed this house for Kenny Rogers. It’s very sad to see the condition it is in now. I hope a new owner who appreciates its beautiful detail, restores it back to its original glory.

It’s a shame that the rich people who bought Kenny’s house abused it so badly ! I’ll bet those bedrooms. Down in the basement game area were for his band members when they stayed over after shows or if they arrived home after a long bus ride from playing somewhere ! I loved Kenny Rodger’s and his music !! Thanks for sharing your tour of his home ! God bless and I love your videos of old abandoned homes ! ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

When you are so wealthy you can afford a $10 million dollar house why would you buy someone's left-over property when you can build a home for probably around the same price and design it the way you want. Where would we be ... how could we live ... without being "updated" on who's multi-million mansion is put on the market and cry bitter tears over the elites who had to leave either the country or the earth because they tried to live beyond their means. How sad! May the mansion be "restored to its former glory"! Why not a video on the thousands of homeless who live in their cars or in a tent under a bridge? Its all about crying tears for the super-rich who's eyes were much larger than their bankroll when they signed the purchase contract.

It’s all so extra that it loses the coziness factor for me. Larger isn’t always better and it seems as though people who end up buying these kind of homes never keep them long. "Cool" is definitely not a word i would associate with that hideous place. And you're right it takes some serious "wealth" to keep up joints like that and also the right people do oversee them. And the way they build things today those places are falling down before they're even finished. Not like a real chateau or castle built to last through the ages. these are little cardboard playhouses by comparison.

You had me at Proverbs! New Sub! I also appreciate the history pertaining to a location. It's incredible how fast a home can deteriorate without maintenance. Makes me think about the verse in the Bible Matthew 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal". Often think about entertainers that idolize trinkets of this earth & life that vanish in a blink of an eye compared to eternity with Jesus.

AMEN!!! I absolutely agree. Aretha Franklin left $80 million on the table, had cancer, and even that amount of money couldn't save her or get her to a cure. Jesus Christ, Yeshua, is the ONLY way to salvation. He is the great redeemer and He is the true treasure. "Nothing in the world can satisfy....Jesus is the cup that won't run dry" (Victor Thompson). Note: There are also spirits on that property. Look at 31:15 and you will see one walking.

That "storage" room with all the cabinets and counters but no sink is called a "butlers pantry." Its a room that typically connects the kitchen to the dining room and is traditionally used to store everything for the dining room. China, crystal, silver, servingware, linens etc and often used to store wine, coffee makers and tea service. It also serves as a space to prep dishes to be served, garnishes etc and reduces foot traffic in the kitchen. They are essential in large homes that often host dinners and parties.

Wow! This place is truly extravagant. When I was a little girl I wanted to live in a mansion with closets for miles and all the other bells and whistles this place has. Now? My goodness. I think of the utility bills, the upkeep on an annual basis just to live there let alone to have it built and then live in such luxury? Can't imagine and from a practical perspective, I don't wish too. I would rather invest and ensure that my lineage and future generations aren't left with my ghost, rather their own happiness, life and memories. I hope Kenny's family lives in happiness till they can join him and for the Nigerians that owned this place after him? Nothing nice to say other than if the lionhead doorknobs are a nice touch. Love your channel! Excellent content and done with such high quality equipment and class. I watched the French mansion tour with the bats before this. Listen, my husband and I own a Roofing company---we need to talk bats. Wear a mask if you can. I'm serious. They usually won't bite you but their waste CAN make you extremely sick. They seek quiet and the scent of their urine acts like a honing beacon for miles, to all the bats in the area, they have a quiet, dry place to live. You will have more bat encounters in the future with all your explorations, just food for thought and lookin out. Much ❤and respect from Anchorage Alaska--D

Kenny Rogers was a classic and I can remember growing up to the Gambler album and every song thereafter. True, it wasn’t Kenny’s mansion prior to the abandonment, however, much of what Kenny Rogers put into the house, his design, remains. All of the woodwork and coffered ceilings, the less ornate light fixtures are Kenny Rogers. How do I know this? I used to work for Kenny Rogers in Los Angeles. Lion Share Studio is designed the same way. It was Kenny’s aesthetic. Deep rich tones of wood carpet and furniture. He enjoyed the cozy feeling of wood in its natural state. Any of the over the top marble opulence was later put into the house, such as the columns and marble floorings in the entry salon. It looks as though the owners after Kenny were renovating the flooring etcetera were being replaced. The lion head fireplace definitely was his and the bed would have been too. The flooring, nah. Acoustics would be horrible with all that marble. It’s why so much is padded. The rooms down in the basement without closets were for recording. The house is 22,607 square feet on five acres. There is a current owner now looking for another owner to bring it back to its day.

I really like how you give the history of these abandoned places. Sometimes I wish there was more info so I could research the story more as they interest me. Maybe I am an odd ball, but I can't help but think that a few of the places would make for some cool apartment buildings/condos. It would be a cool place to live.

I've been to that house many times, I worked for a company that did lots of work there for Kenny and the last owners. It makes me sick to see it that way, knowing what it did look like. I can't speak to money being thrown around but it was pretty obvious money was not an issue.

Just discovered your channel. This is the most beautiful home I've ever seen I think! That huge dome ceiling omg! I haven't heard the story of those folks that bought it from Kenny, I'm gonna dig into that. You are very interesting, love your content you cover everything so well.

When you come home and get the feeling someone broke in and is hiding somewhere you would spend an hour looking around and still not be sure.

That would be my concern. Plus with all of those large windows, you would never know if somebody is looking inside. I would always feel like I was being watched. Can you imagine having kids in there? You would never be able to find them! 😂

Beautiful house to look at, but I could never imagine to live in such a place. It would be a nightmare.

It’s so dark and spooky, I would never live in something like that. Like a dungeon.😳

Money talks, seems like they didn't spare no expense on this mansion, it's by far one of the most beautiful ones I've seen. They're usually all trashed & delipadated.
