Hey Davis would a kneeling lat pulldown be more effective for activation of the lats vs the standard lat pulldown? I remember reading in some EMF studies that kneeling lat pulldown better activate the lats vs standard as the standard was more bicep focus just wondering your thoughts thanks :)

I just wanna say that if you can program them, bentover barbell rows are the mvp. The only problem I can see with them (as well as getting solid form if you don't have experience with keeping a strong hip-hinge) is that they fatigue the lower back and posterior chain, which is a hell of an annoyance if you wanna program loads of back squats and/ or deadlifts in the week as well. I've not been able to deadlift heavy for a while so I've been doing them heaps, and they're easily my favourite exercise atm.

I know I’m late to this vid but tip for anyone that struggles with pull ups TRAIN ABS you don’t need a six pack but the core strength helps so much. I’ve never been able to do a pull up in my life and i trained abs 2-3 days a week for 3 weeks and I jokingly went to do a pull up in front of my girl so she could watch me struggle and i about lost my mind when my chin went over the bar. I repped out 10 pull ups and dropped down so excited I honestly probably embarrassed her a bit but i have never been more proud of myself.

@@AinnRubiix just saw this so sorry for the late reply. I did Russian twists, ab crunches, planks, mountain climbers, leg lifts and knee tucks. I chose 3-4 of them and changed them up as i would start to feel bored doing the same ones. My personal favorites are Russian twists, ab crunches (on the machine) and knee tucks. But whatever you have fun doing will work the best because the more fun you have the more likely you’ll stay consistent 🤙🏼 you got this

I never do any excersises in the gym but I do tons of pull ups(around 800 per week, even more on some other weeks), and my back looks quite wide and full, enough to satisfy most people. i’m aware that lat pull down form is very controversial but i believe you should keep your back straight and body stacked straight rather than leaning back because leaning back targets your upper back and rhomboids rather than your lats. the lats have muscle fibers aligned so that you can only target them while keeping your body in a straight line from head to hips/waists. Also an attachment with a neutral grip, whether it’s a single arm pull down or the neutral grip attachment, lines up best with the latissimus muscle fibers. If anyone disagrees please reply i’ll be glad to discuss.
