The fact that psychedelics are still illegal is a crime against humanity
@tanned062 жыл бұрын

@joesphschramm37542 жыл бұрын
@@tanned06 the damage caused by the prohibition of these substances is much greater than the damage they ever could have "potentially caused". First of all, prohibiting these substances didn't work. Secondly, research on all substances should always be ongoing.
@torquemaddertorquemadder20802 жыл бұрын
Since so-called 'psychedelics' were promoted by the CIA / Tavistock Clinic et al because of their potential to break down social bonds and atomize people within fetishized individual experiences and hollow thrills, lock people into a permanently infantalized, artificially mystified state, it would therefore be reasonable to suppose that they were made 'illegal' (yet available) to make them seem MORE desirable, not less. The same trick, for the same reason, was used to promote cannabis, which only became relatively popular once it was made illegal, and immediately began to be promoted by counter-intelligence agencies as a hip and dangerous 'forbidden fruit' of the demi-monde. There is a sucker born every minute. As your Rulers like to mock.
@simonbrockhoff52692 жыл бұрын
@@tanned06 alcohol and cigarettes are much more harmful though. I guess these things are more anchored in the culture and society, but completely disregarding a potential cure to many mental ailments is really irresponsible. Rituals with psychedelics have been done since thousands of years and are arguably more ingrained into the overall human history than society itself. These drugs can cure depression and the cases were they lead to psychosis are very rare and could possibly be predicted if the research wasn't as restricted. That is like saying atomic power is too dangerous to be used because of Fukushima etc., disregarding the extremely low possibility of such an outbreak and the specific conditions that lead to those incidences i.e mismanagement and damaged equipment.

In some ways, the effect is perhaps similar to what astronauts report when they orbit the Earth. The Overview Effect. The ego dissolves heavily, the Id is distorted, and one's shadow is layed bare before their eyes. And one's mind takes control of that process in millions or perhaps an infinity of ways. (A common conclusion of those individuals experiencing the effect feel interconnectedness with humanity and the planet, and individuality is modulated somehow.) The potential pitfalls are that not everyone reacts to drugs in the same form, and the specificity of an experience is often incredibly consequential. (Where, when, how, etc) I personally would not take a so called "heroic dose" of psilocin fungi or derived products. And I would never get them from questionable individuals or internet delivery. The moderate dose and low dose mode was more than enough. One does not simply walk into the psychedelic landscape in this modern world. Tread carefully. Stay safe. Be smart.

At the end when i finally felt like its time to die, and surrendered and accepted my death, i connected into a universal superintelligence, the source consciousness, infinitely intelligent and eternal, it was brief and i came back to my body , when i say i connected its like i merged to it, and became one with it, it was paradoxical

My first trip was close to 38 years ago on LSD (I'm 60 now). It was done with some friends who were experienced in it. I remember being about 30 minutes into having taken it and being asked if I felt anything. I remember starting to say that I felt nothing out of the ordinary when all of a sudden this deep within my soul laughter just came bursting out. Game on. I really do remember that night as if it were yesterday. I also remember having looked into a mirror that night and I swear that I saw my soul opened up to me in its entirety to a point that I new I could never lie to myself. It also made me for years to come, find friends from the teenage years gone by that I had lied to or done wrong to and apologize and ask forgiveness. It's now been close to 30 years since my last trip, but its lessons from that first time still guide me to this day.

Spin around, like a whirling dervish, clockwise (yang in the northern hemisphere/yin in the southern hemisphere) or counterclockwise (yin in the northern hemisphere/yang in the southern hemisphere). Chanting these mantras(yin mantras) heal each chakra: Um like "from"(root), Am like "Tom"(sacral/solar plexus), Oom like "room"(heart), Em like "them"(throat), Om like "home"(heart/throat/pineal) and Ngm (humming with tongue on the roof of the mouth/pineal/crown). These mantras build yang in the body: Eem like "team", Im like "him" and Am like "lamb". Chant these mantras a number of times at the corresponding sound frequency for each chakra: 1,2,4,8:256hz(root),144:288hz,34:272hz,33:264hz(sacral),5,20:320hz(solar plexus),88:352hz,21:336hz,89:356hz(heart),3,12:384hz(throat), 7:448hz,13:416hz,(pineal),54:432hz(left brain), 55:440hz(right brain), 60:480hz(crown). The days of the week relate to the chakras as follows: sunday(root), monday(sacral), tuesday(solar plexus), wednesday(heart), thursday(throat), friday(pineal), saturday(crown). Sleep with the head placed east. The cardinal directions represent the 4 seasons: east(spring), south(summer), west(autumn), north(winter) in the northern hemisphere or east(spring),north(summer), west(autumn), and south(winter) in the southern hemisphere. Stare into these symbols in this order before sleep or before sundown if resting the sabbath: the eye of horus and its mirror image, the eye of ra, one eye at a time, 7 colored rainbow, then the torus yantra, pentacle, metatron's cube, heptagram, enneagram and then the flower of life mandala before sleep. Go for walks while breathing deeply through the mouth and nose(count your breaths based on the number of chanting repetitions for each chakra depending on the day of week). While walking also periodically touch each finger tip to the tip of the thumb and make fists(mudras). Lift weights and box a punching bag. Place coiled copper wire into the soil and grow non-gmo soy, wheat, corn, mint, potatoes, regular(unfeminized) cannabis seeds(sour hebrew national, mercury rising)and papaver somniferum(7 year crop rotation). Get natto starter to make natto. Place bare feet and hands on the grass. Sunbathe or shine white LED light on skin during the day and at night use LED lights on: red(sunday), orange(monday), yellow(tuesday), green(wedsnesday), blue(thursday), indigo(friday) or violet(saturday) settings and expose all skin to the light. Another helpful suggestion. From friday sunset to saturday sunset rest the sabbath which means no lighting fires(no lighters, stovetops, hot water from water heater with pilot flame, etc.), no physical exercise, no singing or listening to music, and no buying or selling. This will increase yin in the body for the following week. Breaking the sabbath(doing the opposite) will increase yang in the body for the following week. During the sabbath, if keeping the sabbath, wear all white clothing. If breaking the sabbath, wear all black clothing. Rotate the sleeping cardinal direction at the end of every sabbath: east, south, west, north in the northern hemisphere or east, north, west, south in the southern hemisphere. Take boswellia, neem(sparingly), cinnamon, turmeric, curcumin, nutmeg, gotu kola, schizandra, fo-ti, oregano oil, garlic, vitamins and minerals. Drink lemon juice, lemon balm, mint herbal teas and kefir. Drink organic caffeinated coffee, tea or cocoa in the morning(take breaks from caffeine as well). Also take n-acetyl cysteine, bromelain, and nattokinase. Have ivermectin paste, pyrantel paste and an amanita muscaria infused chocolate(polka-dot) and a 500mg delta 8 thc infused chocolate bar. Drink baking soda in water(alkaline),brush teeth and gargle with baking soda. Gargle and bursh teeth with peppermint, clove and cinnamon oils. Experiment with resting one different day of the week the same as the sabbath(from sundown to sundown)or every other day sabbath. Worship these solar at day/lunar at night:Brahma/Saraswati(east), Vishnu/Lakshmi(south in the northern hemisphere/ north in the southern hemisphere), Shiva/Kali(west), and Yama/Dhumorna(north in the northern hemisphere/south in the southern hemisphere). One of my most important take aways from my first lsd trip (I'd done shrooms before) was that, if this was a state of mind where I could be under the influence of this drug, it had to be accessible to me during my regular sober life, too. It specially came to me when I realized that fear and anxiety have similar effects to what psychedelics do: they make you introspective, they make you focus on yourself, and suddenly your mind is having a bunch of crazy thoughts that come out of nowhere and you imagine countless situations where the worst could happen. And it's like... that's tied to creativity in a way. Close your eyes and try to walk through a room you already know. Even if you know that room perfectly, closing your eyes will trigger fear and suddenly you imagine a bunch of stuff that isn't really there in that room. It's... creating. And I think the state induced by psychedelics, creativity and fear itself are all related through that simple fact of letting the mind go to places that "make no sense". It's a matter of the path it takes (which is also why bad trips exist, and they have similar effects to what panic and anxiety do to you but amplified). So, I realized, if my sober mind can trigger all of that "creativity" while experiencing anxiety, I should be able to refocus that energy to trigger it in other areas of my life. Trying to make art, thinking about the big picture, understanding different perspectives, seeing new things where I was always seeing the same. I think the end goal of psychedelics used in a therapeutic or artistic way should be to reach that state without the use of the drug itself, and I think it is 100% possible, or at least that trying to get there is one of the healthiest things we could do after experiencing an eye opening possitive experience with drugs.

This is an interesting view! I had similar experiences, YEARS ago like WAY before the whole thing legally expired... Anyway, I noticed that I couldn´t get out of the loop of fear and panic but that was actually due to the circumstances. I was homeless and broke, also in a city with extremely conservative values and zero-tolerance policy, so it was not the best of places to be in. And I did notice that I´d get these very, very abstract thoughts from heightened fear, and that made me find creative ways to make myself feel safe. Now, if you take things like religion and symbols, you get in to the space of fear and safety on a whole different level. This is such a huge topic. What was interesting that the only _solid_ way I could think of to get out of that situation was to go and study physics and engineering. Like, you literally feel a lot more safe if you know precisely how EM radiation works, how the human nervous system works etc. and I´m thinking that both art and science probably have their origins in things like fear and beliefs. Only science offers something that actually works against thunderbolts and lightning. It´s called a faraday cage. It´s really interesting. So all things considered, fear lead to the need of safety, which lead to science, which lead to research and that lead to engineering. So next time you see someone with a tin-foil hat... seriously, it´s not going to work like that. What you NEED is a tin-foil overall, like you literally have to cover your entire body and especially they eyes. The least protective part of your body in terms of radiation is where there´s no skin or the skin is very thin. Such as the eyes. So, if you happen to experience a shitload of fear and anxiety under extreme amounts of psilocybin or LSD, BE SURE to wrap yourself like a tortilla in tin foil but : YOU GOTTA PUT ON THE GOGGLES FIRST!!!!!

I love how they touch on the "Duh" moment. The beauty in psychedelics is the ability to peel the layers back to everyday life, and to truly comprehend each part of it bit by bit and understand what the meaning is in each piece, and how they together create our experience. it is the total simplicities of life that we don't think about, take for granted, or don't take the time to understand. By doing that, your life is immediately so much fuller forever, and that is so hard to explain to someone, you can only experience it.
@furiousapplesack Жыл бұрын
Yeah the recognition of taking things for granted is what I assumed he was referring to right away because that's the part of this video that applied best, in my experience. Because the other side of that is also recognizing what you care too much about. On shrooms, I've had to stop and ask myself out loud, "Why the HELL was I so angry about that?" and it wasn't even rhetorical. I really did need to work through the reason, and firmly decide that it would no longer occupy any more space in my mind or emotions.

I was grief stricken a year ago. Unable to function after my fiancé died traumatically I could only find relief in plotting how to make my death not look like suicide. I took a micro dose of mushrooms he’d left behind and went to bed expecting nothing to happen. 90 minutes later I was in my kitchen doing the dishes. Then I walked the dog and felt sun on my face. Then I ate dinner for the first time in weeks, drank water and went to bed. My grief was still there - painful, raw and vivid but somehow I understood that I would make it and that life was going to show me the way and let joy in again. Edit; I didn’t want my death to look like suicide - I wanted to find a way to have an “accident” that didn’t put anyone else at risk. Edir 2: it’s 2 years and 3 months later. In many ways the second year really is harder (I really hoped that was not possible) but I have to credit mushrooms for giving me just enough light and relief to face the pain. I’d like this to be available for anyone who is deep in grief and wants access and has correct understanding and support in place. I truly believe microdosing saved my life. I lacked the inner resources to survive my loss until my first dose gave me just enough insight to see, as I wrote above, that life would show me the way and that I am part of life itself (so suicide was a waste of my part to play).

This such an incredible video. I can relate to everything he said. My first time taking a “heroic” dose was my second time trying them. I was young and my friends and I had only seen stoner movies and thought you ate them and saw little gnomes and everything was funny on them. They messed with me so much when I started to feel them that I ran and hid inside a dark room. That’s when I was transformed into a different and better person. I left my body, traveled through space and then hit a moment of pure clarity. I asked myself the questions to all my suffering and the answers resonated with me down to my very core. It cured my severe depression and gave me a positive outlook on life. Helped me overcome the sorrow and self pity I felt for growing up in an abusive home. I’ll never forget it as long as I live

@joyfullydreaded13712 жыл бұрын
@@james-faulkner There's "tripping balls" and then there is having a life changing, bigger picture trip that changes people profoundly. There are also the "omg, I'm gonna die because I am changing into an insect!" trips that come out of nowhere and fuck your day/night up. In my experiences, some people need the help to be guided to have that "we are all one" connection, hearing the hum of our planet (yes, all planets have a distinct sound, there are YT videos about them, really cool stuff) and expanding your consciousness rather than just a "I wanna trip balls to get the visuals" (nothing wrong with that either).

@@bencarkner20 back then the average dose was estimated to be 300mcg. I learned a multitude of things from BAD trips perhaps more than from the good ones. I saw a friend go insane and lose the last 10.years of his life in madness after taking it. It is not without danger. Overall the benefit I got it is the understanding of one self that comes from the experience that was positive for me. I regard what I got from the experience (I took it about 100 times) as a spiritual epiphany. I don't think about it much. now I simply have a way to understand this experience we call life and existence that doesn't leave me traumatized when I see the world on the way to hell in a hand basket carried by society itself. That understanding is an essential part in my understanding of the spiritual side of things. From my point of view it was a blessing.

What people must remember is that it's not what happens during the trip, but what happens after. It's possible that without support and a positive environment surrounding us, we can slip back in old patterns of thought and rigid states of consciousness. I have experienced trauma directly after a trip that I felt had healed me, and I slipped straight back into the deep dark hole I had been stuck in prior. The trip is just the beginning. We owe it to our minds and bodies to dive deeper and develop habits that ultimately decide our journey. Breathwork, meditation, journaling. The relationship you have with your mind must be nurtured always. Psychedelics don't heal - they simply show you how. When you are lost, they will show you the way. When you are lonely, they will connect you. They will show you love and often that is enough to guide a person in the right direction.

The most crucial point here that's often overlooked is the integration phase. Psychedelics can cure depression and shake up your stagnant psyche for the better BUT it is so critical to have consistent, steady integration support after the experience. When you're shaken up so much and made ready to grow, sometimes you can spiral. This is where proper support is a must. Remember this if you embark on the psychedelic path.

Not true and everyone is different. I went in with zero structure and 4 years later it was the only thing I’ve used to help me thrive. @fracanl Жыл бұрын
@@HueboMoment That's a good call out and I appreciate it. However let me add more color to what I am saying: in the context of a video with millions of views that doesn't highlight the importance of consistent integration support, I believe it should be emphasized. Like you said, everyone's path is different. If so many people are receiving this message there are going to be folks who NEED consistent integration. This is a matter of safety and in broad contexts with big audiences like this video, it needs to be said. Part of this is why the state of Oregon mandates integration support for their legal post-trip experience. While not ALL needs it, it is still extremely helpful and its benefits should not be overlooked or undermined by the subset who does not find it useful.

The world won’t heal because people are broken and broken things don’t heal. They can only be fixed. Yet when anyone tries to help fix the broken, they get attacked by them. The same forces that break people in the first place brainwash them into rejecting and even attacking anyone or anything that might fix them. Even as every metropolis dominated by political utopians decays into cesspools of crime, pollution, poverty, violence, depression, and more the utopians still won’t admit that they’re living a lie and everything they’ve been forcefed about what is right and what is wrong is completely backwards. They’ll roll their eyes at the happy, healthy, independent folk who live outside the big cities. They’ll mock them and deride them and call them every awful name in the book for not being a part of their death cult. But at the end of the day after they’ve exhausted themselves from acting smug online they inevitably retreat into wallowing about how miserable and meaningless their lives are and they just. Won’t. Connect. The dots. They just can’t admit they’re wrong and they’ve been successfully conned by corporate propaganda. They’d rather die miserable than admit they’ve been wrong

Next step: Realizing how psychodelics are a tool that can also drive deeper into delusion, or arrest development. We are never truly independent on others unless we cease the will to survive. We are part of a system. There is nothing you can do that doesn't rely on someone else's work. There is beauty in that, and I see a necessity for healthy balance to not use those substances to boost an individualism belief system but also understand the other half of the duality. It might be, though, that you needed a push towards individualism in order to find towards balance. - But you need to see the full range in order to be able to judge where you are, so that you can catch yourself from rushing into an imbalance again. Spin around, like a whirling dervish, clockwise (yang in the northern hemisphere/yin in the southern hemisphere) or counterclockwise (yin in the northern hemisphere/yang in the southern hemisphere). I love the part where he talks about cancer patients and says, 'They realize they can still live life, the cancer hasn't killed me yet. I can still live life, but I am letting it do this to me.' That really resonated with me. Although I’ve never had cancer, it applies to many challenges we face in life-whether it's depression, fear, anxiety, or anything else that keeps us from fully living. It reminds me of the concept of 'Ego Death.' So many people are detached from the reality of their own mortality, thinking death happens to others but not to them. The fear of death doesn’t have to paralyze us; instead, it can push us to release unnecessary stress, stop putting off important things, and truly appreciate the beauty and fragility of life. I believe that’s why I think most people should experience something like this, at least once in their lives. I realize it’s not for everyone, and it can be harmful for some, but it’s an experience that has the potential to completely shift how we live. Confronting our own mortality-whether through something like ego death or simply reflecting on life’s impermanence-can help people break free from the constant distractions and anxieties that prevent us from truly living. It’s not about dwelling on death itself, but about using that awareness to fully embrace life and stop taking it for granted.

The biggest lesson psychedelics "heal" people is helping them realize they are not broken to begin with and that we're just speckles in this grand illusion. A kind of we-don't-matter realization that isn't nihilistic; we just are.

Definitely nihilistic. However, that isn't a bad thing. Nihilism has been stigmatized by society the same way psychedelics have
@ianmeade74412 жыл бұрын
@@Eljose06 well I think people conflate Nihilism with existentialism. Nihilists take the cold and meanless universe and anthromorphize it as though it's making a deliberate statement *at* you, to affirm the futility of your own life's meaning. But if the universe really is meaning devoid, then there isn't anything that judges meaning but you. In that the universe is devoid of any intrinsic meaning, it is equally devoid of any ability or reason to invalidate those meanings which emerge from the informational systems it hosts. Ones that reach sentience (or further) are the only environment in which an evaluation of meaning can exist, because they are the only phenomenon capable of defining such things into being. Your own private experince of reality is the only universe your current identity is a part of. The makes you *literally* the "meaning" of the universe (your universe), just like perceivable color is a meaning of wavelengths. The question just becomes one of whether or not your meaning is sustainable to others that might exist.

I took 10 grams of shrooms and it was my first actual trip with shrooms, I was microdosing for a couple weeks before this which went amazing (I have experience with acid). I cried because I was in so much peace for a while, watched kaleidoscopes with calming music, and it was beautiful. It started getting bad for a while but I learned how to pull myself out of that and ever since I've had more of a "mastery" on calmness and pulling my mind out of overthinking and such. I can somewhat even bring back that feeling of peace as well and it has helped me get through a couple bad situations both sober and inebriated since doing this a couple months ago. I learned aa lot more but it's a whole lot to explain and I encourage taking psycs yourself. If you trip don't take so much at once and have a trip sitter who is experienced and someone you can trust. It'll help you mentally I'm sure of it.

I hardly have the most experience, but what you said about cancer patients being able to *feel* something that they'd already known consciously really held true to my experience. I have a friend who I'd known for a long time I had every reason to forgive for something, but I'd had trouble actually forgiving them. Knowing I should and actually feeling it were two very different things. During a trip I was able to forgive them and actually feel it, and then keep feeling it ever since then. (important to note that this wasn't in a clinical setting like he's talking about and I probably shouldn't recommend trying to work through something using psychedelics without some kind of guide. There are probably a lot of ways I could have gone wrong doing what I did)

To me its how i'd categorise a lot of mental health issues. We know, we know all of it, if logic and understanding fixed it, it wouldn't be a mental health issue- some people with mental health issues show way more insight than therapists and psychologist, and have researched it from the academic angle further as well, but still- they have mental health issues don't they. it requires somehow rectifying this with something inside, the subconscious, the biology and most of all what typical psychologgy lacks: the emotive response.

Absolutely life changing for me. Speaking as a former psych nurse, I can see one of the possible challenges to successful treatments is that although these experiences seem very “spiritual”, the medical community doesn’t really acknowledge that aspect of psychedelic assisted therapy. Some religious patients might struggle a bit if the specific types of experiences goes against their belief systems. The mindset prior to going in is the biggest part of it. Btw Ketamine is also another great tool. It’s my favorite because I don’t experience stomach discomfort as I do with Psilocybin. All of the classic psychedelics, including Ketamine, and even the right dose MJ edibles have all a place in psychedelic assisted therapy in my opinion.

I used to suffer extreme depression and suicidal thoughts. I was at my wits end and was kinda just like fuck it and took the entire remainder of my stash, about 9 grams of golden teacher shrooms. I don't even know how to put the experience into words but it was profound and all but destroyed my ego and separated my consciousness from my body and whisked it away into a realm I can't even begin to explain. It wasn't just visuals or audio, it was everything. There was significant synesthesia and it seemed like I only had one all encompassing sense. It gave me true introspection and a way to evaluate myself without my ego interfering. It was definitely uncomfortable at times as I was basically forced to confront some things that I hadn't wanted to before, but from my perspective it wasn't a bad trip, just a learning experience. Something to grow from. Ever since, I've been doing much better. I'm not completely free of depression and anxiety, but the experience lead me to discover ways to cope with my issues and cope with uncomfortable situations much better which massively reduced my anxiety and depression.

I'm a bit skeptical on the ability of psychedelics to allow us to derive any scientific understanding on consciousness, but I can say from my own anecdotal experience of taking a heroic dose as a first timer that they are able to work wonders on happiness/satisfaction even for as long as at least several months and the positive effects are not yet wavering off.

The best at explaining what’s possible without underplaying the bad trip risk (too much). In college we had a trip to take on our 'trip'. We'd start at the "Good" tree on the coast of Lake Ontario where the shrooms would kick in nicely under the stars while we watched the water and climbed a big beautiful tree with lots of low boughs to lay on and rest at. We would then walk the marina to the riverwalk all the way up to the Dam past the lit area where the path got overgrown then off the path and down on the riverside and directly next to the dam we would go to the "Bad" tree. There we would toss glowsticks is overflow and watch the currents, generally freak out in the dark and scary area. Then we would work our way back out and generally the morning sunrise would find us back at the "Good" tree then we would work our way back to the house and watch those 90's trippy videos or Pink Floyd live until we crashed. Good times...

You ain't lying! Perception of motions and sound in that environment is what led me to never set foot in a man made church afterwards. I understand what science is but we're taught that all things are made of molecules and that all things have motion whether or not we perceive that motion. Two things I embraced on my first experience were my enhanced perception of objects that I had perceived as "being still" and the newly achieved notion that I was entwined with everything around me. Only bad experience I ever had was in a large city amongst many people. Get away from the man made bullshit and resynchronize with the natural world that you truly belong to.

I had coined the term "decompactify" for that feeling of being led into a completely different view of everything around and within when in a psychedelic experience. It quite literally, and physically, removes the lens of learned perception from a lifetime of living before the experience. It is a powerful tool that goes far beyond what we know.

Listening to a scientist explain the psychedelic experience the exact same way that I've explained it to people before tripping together is a breath of fresh air. The fact that there are so many naturally occurring psychedelic substances in the world tells me that we as a whole are supposed to be able to experience something as profound as the hero's dose on a normal basis. Yet simply going there is incredibly intense for me. Overthinking type.... sometimes I'm able to go "above" it and laugh. But other times that "phew we're out of here" is really hard to reach.

I started everything recreationally of course lol. I looked up this very study in overseas publications, a few years back. I acquired 2 playlists, one for Psilocybin and one for LSD, and I did the LSD since it’s easier for me to get. Followed all instructions, and even as someone that’s tripped near 100 times I’m sure, it was transformative. I’ve been microdosing ever since and have been not just recovering from a massive depression, but I have begun to repair my spirit, learned who I was and how I could get to who I wanted to be, and have literally become an entirely different human being ever since - at age 43 no less. Don’t believe the BS - we never stop learning; it just takes a bit more repetition as you age to get things down.

I was involved in a psychedelic study with psiloycybin at Sheppard Pratt for bipolar II. I was given 25 milligrams and it was like climbing a mountain. One of the most arduous yet profound experiences of my life. I had a therapist who is a psychedelic therapist and he told me in preparation for the study "Trust, let go, be open." The mistake I made was with ego death. There was a part of me that was able to slide into it but there was another part of me that couldn't let go. However, I tried them camping in the woods with good friends and it was one of the most helpful experiences as far as framing what was going on in my life and some critical decisions that I needed to make. I decided to end a relationship and move to NYC after just graduating college and have had a great career ever since! I never liked alchohol or smoking but tried them. The only other fun experience I loved was eating too much banana bread that were cooked with weed (not sure of right term) and had the best time dancing all night at a club believe it or not. Do you do internal work on yourself while in a decent or strong experience? Because I'm learning more and more that the key with real change and healing coming from a mushroom trip is the conscious therapy part. To be strongly introspective and analyse yourself and your problems. By conscious I mean being vocal about it in your mind or even speaking aloud rather than just letting yourself heal. Facing the negative and traumatic thoughts in your head, and talk through them like you are at a psychiatrist but by yourself. In my opinion, during an experience on mushrooms is the only time you will actually be ready to face some negative parts of your mind that need addressing. I used to be under the impression that just having the trip will be healing your mind, which it does, but I'm convinced now that the most important part is having the therapy with yourself at the time and addressing the problematic thoughts, and of course the good thoughts as well. This is coming from a sufferer of sever depression for the last 3 years. Some people (not saying you) tend to paint psychedelics as a magic medicine when in reality I think it's the ability it gives you to work on yourself, and use yourself to your full potential, which is the magic part.

I’ve had many very low periods in my life but the last four years have been terrible beyond anything before. For multiple reasons, I’ve been convinced that I will be dead soon. It consumed and reshaped everything about me including my physical appearance. I gave up in every way and waited for what felt like the inevitable. A few days ago, I started taking a high-quality magnesium supplement a friend sent me. She said it had helped others she knows. Every morning since the first dose, I’ve felt very different. I’m shocked that something so simple as a vitamin can have this much effect. I’ve dealt with depression for over 40 years and have taken about 15 different anti-depression medications. Some made things worse, some did nothing and the rest worked but with so many side effects that it wasn’t worth it. This is completely different. It feels more effective than the best antidepressant with no side effects. I can’t say you will have the same results but it’s a fairly simple thing to try.

I took a large recreational dose of psylocibin mushrooms in 2015 and set an intention to rewire my brain to no longer be depressed. I was at the beach with a friend. The experience was incredible. We walked along the beach, spent some time in a fort some kids had spent, playing music, and seeing bald eagles flying in the honeycomb structure in the sky, did tai chi in the waves, watched the sun set from an incredible bluff overlooking the water and walked back along the beach looking at the stars, which I could all see in 3D. When I came down the darkness was gone. I could feel it sometimes for the next year behind me, this big hulking figure pressing on the outside of my consciousness, trying to find its way back in. I have experienced incredible loss and sadness since then, but the darkness never got back in. It finally stopped trying after a while.

Doing "shrooms with friends," no matter how recreational that sounds, really helped me actually feel happier than I've ever felt in my life, just from seeing spinning lights. I feel like this could really seriously treat depression, as long as it's a 'good trip.' But it also makes me fearful if getting into the wrong hands, the impact could be pretty detrimental, not to mention people reliving abusive situations that they had to escape from years ago, and all of that coming to a head. Not to say that that can't work through that using the same therapy. I am just glad that they are finally doing research on it, as it's long overdue.

The best way to describe a psychedelic trip in my opinion is it turns up the power of your actions. You get a lot of energy and the things you do or feel have more of an effect. You can go from happy to upset very quickly but it's all with energy. I had heard many people talk about having bad trips but then I tried it myself and at one point had a psychological breakdown but it was needed as I became a better person after. I was being a piece of garbage person who was headed down a road that would only lead to a sad death. Now I'm inspired with the things I do and I try to do my best like I used to. I think the world is constantly bombarding people with dopaminergic activities left and right and we get overstimulated and burned out. It's why I think meditation and practicing mindfulness as well as rigorous exercise is the key to a stable mindset. It's all within your control no matter how bad you feel it is. I was genuinely wondering if I had deep psychological issues due to me constantly sabotaging my life and having no emotional control but I realized when tripping that your mood can change in an instant so why not apply it to real life. Why not reinforce positive attitudes on the daily and truly believe that something like depression or anxiety is just a construct of the imagination. When I said I wasn't depressed i felt something like a lightbulb moment that changed the course of my life forever.

The benefits of psychedelics far outweigh the risk and I feel 10 times better that I used to, more motivated and engaging in a lot more activities, Psychedelic mushrooms really healed me. Totally helped in dealing with my depression from the loss of my kid and illicit pill addiction. I’ve been looking to get some and got it and it was what I needed
