In 1989 I’ve went from Quebec Canada [ east coast] to Malibu California in a total 4 days all stops including sleep gas lunch and everything, and it was on a Ninja 750 ! It’s funny the amounts of times I’ve cross roads with the same big rig because he wasn’t stopping as often as i, i had to stop regularly to gas and stretch my legs, he was passing me and honking at me waving me by ! Then i hope on the bike and evidently going faster than him, waving by and repeat for almost the whole way. 😂👍

Great ride guys. One tip next time: you could have saved at least an hour if you would have taken I12 in Slidell (north of New Orleans) instead of staying on I10 through New Orleans. You pick up I10 again in Baton Rouge. Of course, you may have had to stay on I10 for some reason.

Thanks for watching, and great eye! You're 100% right, it's something that we spaced on as the road split and by the time we realized our mistake we figured it made more sense to just stick with it. I briefly discuss that in my written story, but we didn't think it made sense to mention in the video: www.bike-urious.com/coast-to-coast-in-50-hours/

So you would know more than most people riding an H2 how comfortable was it? You look upright which a lot more than I can say about my ZX 14 even with risers. What kind of miles were you averaging a tank full? Looking at buying the H2 as my next bike
@Bikeurious
@Bikeurious 3 жыл бұрын
The SX SE is definitely more comfortable than the regular H2 or the ZX-14. I also got to attend the press launch for the Z H2, and that's definitely the most comfortable (unless you plan on spending all day above the speed limit). My main complaint was with the seat, which felt too thin after about an hour or so. I wouldn't call the position upright though, there's still plenty of forward lean. I averaged 151.3 miles per tank, with a high of 193.2 on one tank during my trip. Average was 37 mpg. I have a written story where I got into more detail if you're interested: www.bike-urious.com/coast-to-coast-in-50-hours/ Days 7-9 have the complete gas log at the end: www.bike-urious.com/coast-to-coast-in-50-hours-days-7-9/ I hope you get the H2 SX SE, I can't imagine that you'd regret it! What a wonderful bike.

Got there Friday around 6pm, checked into a hotel, went to the track, left around 4pm heading back to AL on a 14R. On my 10R, rode from AL to Nashville TN. One day trip about 487 mile round trip.

Great video guys. Did you guys have to do any bike maintenance during that trip i.e chain tightening/lube, or any fluid changes?
@Bikeurious
@Bikeurious 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Thomas! Didn't change any fluids, but seeing as I had ridden the Ninja from Los Angeles to Florida before this run, I changed the tires to make sure I'd have enough tread to get back home. Stock rubber was the Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21, but I swapped them for the Bridgestone T31 as I didn't need immense cornering grip, just decent tread life! The chain was adjusted as part of the tire change. During the actual 50 hour run, we didn't have to do anything to the bikes except keep filling them up with fuel.

Kawasaki Ninja H2 supercharged bike for riding in a straight line on a highway? Why do you need to do such a boring ride?! I'm pretty sure you can do this with some stupid yamaha t-max for the same amount of time. This bike is born to make turns on the mountain roads or on tracks.

@Bikeurious
@Bikeurious 2 жыл бұрын
@@Claude1100 Oh, sorry. I misunderstood your question. I had a gas log of my trip out from the west coast to the east coast before I did the cross country run. That was 3,292 miles and the bike averaged 37.108 mpg. Because we were on a time crunch during the challenge and we were already losing time because of filming, I didn't calculate mpg on the 50CC run. I have a multi-part story on my website that you can check out if you wish! www.bike-urious.com/coast-to-coast-in-50-hours/ Hope that helps.

@@stevesmith6236 Haha, your choice of words is perfect! I posed a similar question to Bike-urious readers before I left on the trip, you might appreciate the answers: www.bike-urious.com/your-choice-of-steed-to-go-coast-to-coast-in-50-hours/ I originally wanted to do this trip on a Motus MST-R, would still love to try that if I could find one. Otherwise I'd want to go with something older - first generation Gold Wing, BMW R90S/R100RS, Nimbus Model C, '46 Indian Chief? Frankly, at this point I'd be more inclined to go cross country in 50 days, not 50 hours. Take a new Honda Trail 125 (www.bike-urious.com/first-ride-review-2021-honda-trail-125/) and see as much as I could along the way. But that angle doesn't actually answer your question...
