Michael Jordan has no case to be the number 1 NBA player of all time. He has no case to be the number 1 NBA shooting guard of all time. He never had a case to be the number 1 NBA player when he was in the NBA. If you are going to rank players, lots of players are better than him. Lots of players could beat him in a one on one game. He doesn't have the best NBA statistics of all time. He is not the best scorer of all time. He is the most overrated sports star in the history of mankind. And I could give you more examples, but you get the point.............Also, Michael Jordan fans have lots of takes where they are wrong, or where they make things up, or where they contradict themselves, or where they move the goal post, or where they don't do enough research, or where they cherry pick things, or where they are not consistent, or where they react in a negative way if someone has a take that they think is taking away from Michael Jordan..........Also, Michael Jordan fans are the worst sports fans of all time, and they are the flat Earthers of the NBA world then.....................Now, if you disagree, you can go on my program and show me why you are right. If you want to go on email TheTelephoneUniverse@Gmail.Com...........And now watch how most Michael Jordan fans will ignore all this, and they won't go on my podcast to show me how they're right on whatever they disagree on, and they will get annoyed, and they will write something negative online...........and you know why they are like this?.............Because they know that they have no proof that will prove that I am wrong on whatever they disagree on, and they are in love with Michael Jordan, and they have too much pride to admit that they are wrong in anything, and they are not educated on the NBA.

@@RudyB-ti8yeI met Bill Russell at the airport in Philadelphia in 1987. I'd heard enough bad stories about him to wonder how he would respond. He was reasonable. Further, after I stopped him, a small crowd gathered around him. I had left my departure gate and approached him as he was walking through the area. And I stopped him. I felt kind of bad because I could see him from my departure area. And the crowd kept him busy, as long as I recall being able to see. I'm sorry you did not have a good meeting with him. Maybe he was having a bad day or a bad period in his life. I hope you will get something good to allay that memory.

he was indeed backup high jumper during the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, and was fast and quick and combined leaping ability with a condor-like wingspan, but his best weapon was his mind. right there at the beginning of the video. when he was playing, he was able to shut off the outside world. he fought for civil rights outside the court, but on the court, he was able to ignore the distractions and just focus on winning. he was an elite athlete who studied and learned and mastered the art of winning.

@@speedracer2336 Playoffs: Russell 16/25/5/ 43% FG / 60% FT Wilt 23/25/4/ 52 FG% / 47 FT% We don't have blocks numbers but both likely averaged somewhere between 7-10 a game. When both had good supporting teammates they went 1-1 in the playoffs (67 and 69). The other playoff matchups Russell had the clear advantage in teammate support and had a better coach in Red. We don't have any on/off plus minus signals to go on either. So Russell had 1 more apg and a 13% higher FT%. Wilt had 7 more ppg and 9% higher FG. When Wilt was in his lead shot taker role his PPG was 32.9 in the playoffs. I'm not really seeing where Russell himself was better in the playoffs. Was he a better leader/motivator and/or teammates liked him better? Sure but better player is another matter.

I saw several Warriors vs Celtics games as a kid. I was in Philly but rooted for the Celts because Russell was the underdog against Wilt, & because I was a Cousy fan (little guy, great playmaker, among all-time leading scorers back then). And of course the Celts won all the championships. But if Russell was the best on the planet, Wilt was like from another planet. When he dunked the ball, he didn't even seem to be straining to be above the basket; it looked easy and casual.

Although a big star, he didn't engage with strangers, sign autoggraphs, and did not suffer fools lightly. All this proved him to be a man of charactet with a high moral sense. Perhaps the most amazing thing of all is that ignorant (and many not so ignorant) bigots actually refused to acknowledge Russ' superiority to them outside the hardwoods. Wilt also was a tremendous track athlete in college, as Bill was. also when Elgin showed up in 1960, he was right up there with athletic skill as well. In another video clip, Bill says it was almost scary to play against Wilt....he was just too good, too strong. Bill was probably the 2nd best defensive player ever....but he usually had little impact on Wilt's game...Wilt still shot about 50% against him... Bill's dropped about 9 % pts when playing Wilt.

Guess again? Only a jordan lover or wilt hater would say that! Bill faced wilt 142 times! I don’t think he was guessing when he said “wilt is the greatest basketball player who ever lived”! WTF part of that quote don’t you understand or want to understand?

I’ll ask the question again: How many rules did the NBA change to stop bill Russell & his all around game? Case closed!!

You talked a lot; but still didn’t answer my question: How many rules did the NBA (fuck the ncaa) change to stop bill Russell! WNC Is the greatest scorer…30.1ppg rebounder 23rpg & minutes 46mpg in NBA history! There’s a reason he called WNC the greatest basketball player who ever lived! How about some just due here instead of the hate?

There's certainly an argument for Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain to be the two best nba players in any era at blocking and rebounding... But Wilt arguably was mostly responsible for offensive force through his career with little time to play with the full attention that Bill Russell showed through his mostly defensive career... Bill Russell could have increased his scoring potential if he needed! He was remarkable at dunking... Graceful with the true physicality necessary to run the court with any nba player in any era... But Wilt was the kind of offensive force that showed Bill Russell his physical shortcomings, a basketball player who was bigger, stronger and equally fast...Bill stepped up his game and has napoleon stated about making officers into general's was he lucky and Bill Russell certainly had a team with luck running throughout his time as a player and manager... It helps to be good, but luck is the greatest substitute against team failure...

Wilt was not about the team, but himself and his stats! Russell was just about winning!

@@tommyrawlings3046 To be fair Wilt was about what his coach asked him to do. When Wilt averaged 50 pts a game it was not his idea but coach Fitch's idea for him to do that. One player averaging 50 was not the best team result approach but his team wanted to make money off Wilt being a show and he simply did what was asked of him. When coach Hannum asked him to stop scoring so much and focus more on facilitation and defense he did that. Wilt may have liked to prove he was great in individual areas by putting up stats, but his coaches asked him to put up those kind of stats and he did. When the coach asked him to tone it down and do other things he did that as well. Russell was amazing but he never had a coach in the NBA that used him as a sideshow or asked him to chase individual stat marks. Russell was a better leader/motivator of others than Wilt was that is true.

Russell was surrounded by hall of fame talent at every position, including 6th man HOF'r Don Nelson.... Wilt's teams were simply overmatched, a fact that people seem to never acknowledge...

To all the Jordan fans out their, Russel and Chamberland and along with Kareem, all 3 of these men were great, Jordan falls very short of them. I know Jordan and he is a classless individual, believe me or not I know what I'm talking about.
