He didn’t know, at least that it was going to be someone as educated as Wes. He thought it would be your average Christian that doesn’t know the depth of historical context, and planned to just ramrod and bounce from topic to topic with his narrative like he usually does. (His arrogance and lack of research into Wes was his downfall, lack of research is a common theme with Billy sadly) Hence the lawsuit and banging on the hosts door and ringing his doorbell at 2am lol. I was really pleased to hear Wes describe Genesis as a polemic *against* the pagan creation stories of the time. I've been called a heretic for pointing this out to my fundamentalist friends for years. Christianity does not teach the message of Jesus. Christianity teaches the message of Roman Emperor Constantine in 325 AD that begun at the Council of Nicaea that essentially banned the teachings of Jesus. The Gnostic Gospels were discovered in 1945 at Nag Hammdi Egypt. Read the Goepel of Thomas if you truly follow Jesus.
