That is a great video! I saw Willie Nelson some 40 years ago as a young lady. It was an awesome concert and after the show , Mr Nelson stayed and met with every fan that wanted to say hello and he signed his name on the concert flyer I had. I was just thrilled that he gave me a hug and a little peck on the cheek. Such a great memory, I'm now a much older lady of 65 and I still smile at that memory and my husband still teases me on how I blushed. Wonderful to see how even now he can relate to younger artists. Willie Nelson is a National Treasure, and I will always have a little bit of a crush on him. Billy Strings is so talented and it's great to see them work together.

Congratulations mate! I think cannabis can be a great addiction medicine when used mindfully. However I'm gonna be that guy and point out that cocaine sort of does grow out of the ground, same with heroin, tobacco, poison ivy, arsenic, lava, etc. And although it has been through a bit more processing, alcohol is generally made from plants. Also, some speed is made from ephedrine - an alkaloid extracted from plants (however usually made from pseudoephedrine which is a synthetic chemical). Conversley, one could argue that modern weed is somewhat 'unnatural' given all the genetic modification and because nowadays most weed is grown indoors, often in synthetic substrates. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge advocate of Californinian sobriety as a means of recovery for some, but I think its good to remember that not everything 'natural' or 'from the earth' is innocuous. When you really think about it, almost everything comes from the ground, including us. And to the ground we shall all return. Unforunately we are royally screwing up the earth's soil. Rant over. Man, I have way too much time on my hands.
@IsaiahKeiser15 күн бұрын
@ if I can pick it and smoke it I’m cool with it. If I gotta bring science into it, it’s a drug. I’d probably even try real opium. I smoke cigars, I’d even chew coca leaves, just no refining of the psychoactive chemicals to make them more potent than the plant

If this isn't the best duet I've heard in years! Willie still has it! and Billy is one of the best singer/musician of all times! What a song too! I would have a completed bucket list if I were to be in the same room as those two, playing and singing until the cows come home!!!! Lovely!!!!

I've always wanted to play piano with Willie, but who am?! I'm really glad Billy got together with Willie and did this, it's so dang sweet. Happy 90th Birthday to the great Willie Nelson! That's some sweet pedal steel playing, too... very sweet.

This is excellent. I've lived in California my entire life and found most friends go Cali sober by 30. The central coast seems to have a slight twist as they add beer in moderation. This song and a joint made my morning!

Huge fan. Wow this is amazing. I tried the Narcotics Anonymous abstinence way for a long time. Failed every time and ended up back on heroin. Now that I just smoke weed, I haven’t touched heroin in 3 years. Different strokes for different folks. NA sober is not the only sober. Sing it loud and proud!
