This song is about how many times he WASN'T there for her...she'd cried a thousand rivers & now was swimming for the shore (she'd had enough heartache & pain caused by him)...then he realizes that he should have been her Valentine, nor missed her birthdays, etc. The Good times have their own hiding place, meaning there were so many bad times that they overshadowed the good ones. Give me one more chance girl, meaning she'd given him many chances. And again, he realizes all he should have done & is now wanting & willing to do to keep her.

Richie Sambora, Bon Jovi's guitarist, who you heard mirroring some of Jon Bon Jovi's lines in this song has his own solo career. He's no longer a part of Bon Jovi, but his stuff is worth listening to. Stranger In This Town is a great CD. I can recommend Rosie, One Light Burning and Stranger In This Town off that CD. It's very bluesy, a little different than what Bon Jovi did.

I love the first few Bon Jovi albums. I'm not a fan of what came after Keep The Faith but the early albums were amazing. BUT: I think you need to go back to doing Judas Priest. Try some earlier Priest this time: Victim Of Changes or Dreamer Deceiver, Beyond the Realms of Death - or Screaming for Vengeance. Or if you want something that grooves like hell: On The Run, Troubleshooter or Devil's Child
