Hey Layne, do you have any detailed videos on digestion in general that talk in detail about myths surrounding 'Growth Hormones' or other 'chemicals' in non-organic foods and how they effect us? I would really love to know more about that subject from a trusted source. Your explanation here on how growth hormones in animals isn't a negative - is blowing my mind. Love the content sir!

A1/A2 casein cow milk makes me mucous filled AF, so I avoid because I don't like sneezing and blowing my nose constantly. A2 only cow milk, goat milk, and sheep milk don't have this effect on me whatsoever. Well cultured forms (particularly yogurt) of A1/A2 casein milk also doesn't bother me. Many years ago, when I stopped drinking cow milk, I switched to soy milk thinking, "this is going to be better". To my surprise and disappointment, the soy milk also made me a mucous factory, and was actually worse for gassiness and bloating. Something I have been wondering about is the effect of full and extra fat cow milk dairy on male testosterone levels? I've heard conflicting things about it. I'm avoiding the full and extra fat versions of dairy until I see more conclusive evidence one way or another.

Sigh, this is information you've gotten from exactly the same type of sources Layne debunks every day/week... There is a reason why we pasteurize milk, because this "small" risk is just too high when you sell milk to a 100 million people. I don't think people are talking about crossbreeding/selective breeding when they say GMO. I think they are referring to DNA editing that you couldn't get naturally, like combining corn and bacteria DNA to make Roundup Ready Corn. Saying that we've had it for thousands of years is false.
@Collinpawns
@Collinpawns 2 жыл бұрын
Not false at all. Selecting for a desirable gene IS genetic modification. Using the term DNA editing with negative connotation is also nebulous. GMOs being dangerous is also a nebulous descriptor with no evidence whatsoever. Natural versus unnatural is a non-argument. You realize most GMOs are SINGLE gene splicing events in non coding parts of a chromosome, like an enzyme that prevents a particular fungus from growing on the plant or a protein that makes the plant inedible to an herbivorous insect. Thinking a GMO is dangerous comes from smear campaigning and ignorance. There is not one single shred of evidence to suggest GMOs are dangerous and all the evidence in the world to suggest they are a necessary tool to prevent loss of crop. Why make this argument about "natural" changes? Who cares if it can be found in nature? We aren't natural anymore.

@@Collinpawns Selective breeding is not GMO otherwise virtually all produce would be GMO. I assume the rest of your comment is just in general, not to me? I didn't say anything negative about GMO. I'm pro GMO.

First, if you are in a place in your life where you can get away from highly processed foods, do so. It's a day and night difference. Processed milk today is essentially colored water with milk flavor, compared to raw milk. I was lucky enough to have access to raw gras fed milk from a farmer next door everyday for a part of my life. A glass is essentially a whole breakfast, that's how powerful it is. That was also the time i had the most energy. Once i moved and did not have access to raw milk, i felt that on every level. If you have farmers close to you who produce milk and you do not get your milk directly from them, then you're doing something wrong. On top of that, it's cheaper too.

Raw milk is simply too expensive in my area to be my daily driver but I found the taste incredible. Best tasting milk I've ever had.

Layne, do you have a video explaining why cancer is so prevalent in today's society ??
@Macatho
@Macatho 10 ай бұрын
Because cancer is just a risk of being alive. And by living longer that risk accumulates. 100 years ago the average life expectancy was 50-60 years. Now it's 83. And many cancers are curable, and then the person will get another cancer... Basically doubling it.

Aside from dogs, the first animals we humans domesticated were grazing animals like sheep, goats, and aurochs (ancestors of modern cattle). And it wasn’t just for meat; we have hard evidence of cheesemaking in 5,500 BCE and other hints of dairy processing as far back as 8,000 BCE.

The glyphosphate problem is definately real. It's an accumulation over the years that does the damage. I grow vegetables for a living and we spray the fields with weedkiller, the same field we grow our vegetables in a few weeks later, it lasts in the ground for decades.

@@SLude480 Yes but if it stays in the ground and gets down in the ground water, it will pollute other parts of the eco system that is not part of the wheat field. It might not be dangerous to humans but... its pretty clear that it is very dangerous to plants :)
