37:59 - I LOVE the narrator keeping it real that the woman detective should have been lead on a case of a poor little rich boy who couldn't wait *a hour for his family's bodies to cool* before pulling his pudd in a Publix parking to an Eastern European cam girl! The irony that both Grant and male detective can coast through life and have good things handed to them, but seeing the woman detective just crushing it - because she has to be great to still be treated second best. She could've done this alone and would be able to get a confession, have Grant booked, and taken an early lunch by noon! R.I.P. to the Amato family.

It's crazy how many people watch Evangelion and still completely miss the point. Even though the End of Evangelion movie has Shinji essentially spell it out for the audience: A painful world full of people you can connect with is preferable to an isolated one where you can never get hurt.
@InfiniteSkiegh
@InfiniteSkiegh Жыл бұрын
@Gaming in the AM Eotv 25 and 26 has that exact message too. Then they drove it in with EoE and even more with the rebuilds. Have you noticed that in EOE the instrumentality sequence they show (Shinji in the sandbox to Shinji choking Asuka the first time) is Shinji alone in instrumentality and episode 25 and 26 of the show goes at the empty theater stock footage? I have proof from both the show and movie and am in the scripting phase of a video for it.

Major oops #5 or 6 (I lost count) - claiming you've been traumatized so much from being arrested for stealing drugs from the hospital you worked at, that you've now developed PTSD. Yet when the cops come knocking on your hotel room door, take you into custody, bring you down to the station for an interview, have 2 detectives question you for hours… you really don't show even an ounce of anxiety until they start leaning on you to confess to the slaughter of your family. I would think that the circumstances that caused your PTSD would be more of a trigger especially "not knowing" why the police were taking into custody in first place. 🤦‍♀️

if he did develop ptsd, he may have just been dissociated. its when the brain is so stressed by its surroundings, it "turns off" in a way and dulls the senses to the point of being "unconscious" or just less conscious to whats going on. its something i struggle with and it was the first thing i thought of. whether those events traumatized him or not, it still doesnt excuse his actions. but i do believe he deserves mental help

42:04 it’s annoying because the male interviewer seems to have completely misread Grant if he thinks proverbs, religion, and moral compass discussions are going to get through to him. Should’ve just let Grant keep talking, because he was exposing himself without needing anything to go off of. Or at least let him respond to the lady. She’s at least doing great. i agree in that there was clearly a toxic family dynamic that warped his sense of reality, but it may not have consciously been the fault of his parents. they may have just unknowingly failed him, by continuing a cycle they were completely unaware of. the uneven power dynamic between family members / triangulation; the "golden child" treatment by his mother vs the scapegoating by his father: but even though this man was struggling with mental illness, it was still his fault that he (even if unknowingly) chose to remain ensnared in this family system instead of breaking free and never having to see them again, by leaving. but i can see how he felt trapped in this situation -- he was coerced in some way, goaded by his father to pursue the medical field like he had, and this pressure led him only as far as he could before it crushed him and he could no longer keep up the facade. its his mental instability that led him to this choice, and his family (according to him) seems to have influenced this, but it cannot be said that the death of his parents was their fault. it is still this man's fault, regardless of the path that led him to this choice
