This makes me so plump and glowing. Plus stops me from overusing actives since they would cancel it off. It makes me laugh because this serum or more, talking about copper peptides in general is my comeback post in a draft on the blog. We do this so often. Great minds 😂

@@DoctorAnne oh I will. Hopefully Sunday - I tried taking photos but had no energy to set up the tripod and stuff, so I tried free hand but with the fatigue and shaky hands… lol. None of the photos came out in focus. I have a friend coming over tomorrow so I’ll see if she could help me set it up. I feel like such a mess asking friends for help all the time. I got a simple of this last month, the first time I tried copper peptide ingredient. My skin has become more brightened. I replace this with my Timeless vitamin c 10%, because my skin can't tolerate vitamin c. I purchased it two weeks ago at US$55 and shipping cost me US$7 to Taiwan. I like how easy it is to absorb into my skin. I use it with Azalic Acid in the morning. And Retinaldehyde at night time.

Currently testing the same things. I didn‘t notice any benefits from the Ordinary copper peptides. I‘m currently half-way through the NIOD one and super happy with it. Gives me a nice plumping healthy looking skin. Waiting to finish it up to try out the Biossance one which is waiting in my cupboard since I heard so many good things about it. However I‘m already happy, cause even if the Biossance won‘t work out for me I‘ll be super happy to make the NIOD one a permanent item in my routine. I do wish it wasn‘t so tricky to pair with other important actives. Still need to decide if I‘ll use it in the mornings with Vitamin C every other day or evenings with Tret every other day. I‘ll likely for the morning version, because I like how it makes my skin look.

I think it is so hard to see benefits in your skin if you have a good routine already. The first time trying acids was a revelation - nothing has ever been that dramatic in effect ever since. Which makes me need to be more patient... Not my strong suit.

@tinasung38142 жыл бұрын
niod's copper peptide is the most expensive skincare product i own. When i ran out my first bottle 15ml bottle , i immediately notice how much my skin deflated. So i end up giving in to the high price and purchased a second bottle. I have not tried the other 2 products but am confident its just gonna pale in comparison. Lemme know if i am wrong fir those who have tried all 3.

I prefer the NIOD over the others too.
@lorainemcgillivray772 жыл бұрын
Hi Dr Anne I haven't tried any of the three tbh and really it's due to the price. The Niod version and probably the Biossance are not in my budget and I just haven't tried the ordinary version as yet. I have tried some K beauty serums with copper peptides in the INCI list, but truthfully peptides are not a must have ingredient for me. I'm happy to use them and if they're in my products then that's fine, but I can't truthfully say i've seen amazing anti aging from them. True actives like a retinoid and acids give a visible difference on the skin in a way I've never found peptides to do. One of the things I noted on this serum was how high HA is on the list and my skin is quite finnicky with that ingredient - too much causes a lot of irritation for me. For those who can't tolerate retinoids or vitamin c it may be worth investing in these copper peptides, in the hope they will stimulate collagen production. For me I would much rather invest in a really elegant spf and a retinoid, rather than this very expensive less well researched ingredient. Best wishes.

Hello Dr. Anne, how to layer copper peptide? I purchased this serum last week. I dont know whether to apply copper peptide just after the facewash (on wet face as it has hyaluronic acid in it) Or di I need to use hyaluronic acid first and peptide serum as a second layer? Or can i use copper peptide on dry face after the face was? Kindly auggest

I am debating buying this before the sale ends it's like 50$ with a water bottle or something on the biosionse site or the Niod CP I did already buy the ordinary CP durning the sale but I have been lusting over wanting to try these two the Niod and biosionse one , I did notice it looks like beauty bay has the Nid CP 3 for cheaper then Deciem at 53$ I think and it's like 69$ on Deciem I'm not sure why that is but if it's correct even with shipping of 5$ it would be cheaper. Idk what to do just stick to trying the ordinary first then try something else but I'm been thinking about the other 2 for along time and now the sales , so idk what to do should have probably just put the money I spent on the copper buffet serum toward one of the other 2. I didn't like the regular buffet serum at all the one that use to be 14$ that now is 23$ onsale the same as the CP one basically idk why they would raise it that much good thing I didn't like it at all.

I always recommend not buying multiples at a time, as after opening the product will go off eventually, and with these serums, it is basically impossible to use up all three in the recommended time frame. There will always be another sale coming up. But that is just my take on it, I don't always follow my own advice here.

@@DoctorAnne find an already made serum or lotion that contains copper peptides. That way you let them do all the work for you haha. They already formulate a product that is a good pH for the peptide. I found a general peptide serum that contained different peptides, and of course they saved money by putting GHK-cu last on the list of least added ingredients. So I added my own to make it 2% GHK-Cu strength. I assumed they added 0% GHK-Cu. Double check they don’t contain retinols, vitamin C and I forget what else. I’m just a firefighter what do I know! Buy them on Ali Express from a store that has good reviews. I bought 5 grams total and each gram came in it’s own little vial.

@@James.1_2-3 Everything you add to an already existing formula changes the pH and the preservation system, so I wouldn't risk mixing things in my bought skincare either. But again, if you feel it works for you, that is great.

@@DoctorAnne A 4-month surveillance study involving 743 men with male-pattern hair loss was designed to evaluate (1) how quickly men using 1 ml of 5% minoxidil solution twice a day began to notice reduced hair loss and/or new hair growth, (2) efficacy of 5% minoxidil solution in improving hair density in areas affected by male-pattern hair loss, and (3) side effects associated with use of 5% minoxidil solution. All results were evaluated and reported by the men involved in the study; 150 physicians with male-pattern hair loss were among the 743 patients studied. At the end of 4 months: The scalp area affected by male-pattern hair loss (the “balding” area) was judged smaller by 67.3% of the men, unchanged by 31.9% and larger by 0.8%. The 5% minoxidil solution was judged very effective in stimulating new hair growth by 7.5% of the men, effective by 55%, moderately effective by 31.3% and ineffective by 6.2%. Hair density (the “fullness” of scalp hair) was judged improved by 74.2% of the men, unchanged by 24.3% and worsened by 1.5%. Of the 669 men who reported when results of minoxidil treatment were first noticeable, 13.9% reported results in the first month, 52.3% during the second month, and 33.8% during the third month. Skin-related side effects were reported by 13 patients.

@@DoctorAnne AHK-Cu affects hair loss in two ways. First, it promotes the growth of blood vessels by stimulating the secretion of VEGF. Blood vessels are necessary to supply nutrients to hair follicles. Studies in animals show that AHK-Cu not only improves blood flow to existing hair follicles, but that it can promote the growth of new hair follicles by encouraging the growth of blood vessels. The second way that AHK-Cu affects hair loss, at least in animals models, is by down-regulating TGF-ß1. DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the major hormone involved in male pattern baldness and thinning hair in both men and women as they age. DHT produces many of its effects through TGF-ß1. By down-regulating TGF-ß1, AHK-Cu can directly reduce the impact of DHT and protect hair follicles from negative stress [2].
