I enjoyed your exuberance about finally getting your bag. I personally don't care for Hermes. I think that it's crazy the way they make consumers jump through hoops and virtually beg for the "privilege" to BUY a Birkin from them. However, I realize everyone values and likes different things, and that's what makes the world go round! Enjoy your bag, and kudos for being persistent!

Awww Emma, so loved this video and sharing your experience shopping for your Birkin. Congratulations, your bag is beautiful. It makes such a difference buying high end in the larger stores; especially in the lovely European countries (Paris, Amsterdam etc). I'm off to London in a few weeks to buy another Chanel (I bought my first one a few months ago in the Manchester boutique), but having bought some Chanel jewellery a few months ago in one of the London stores, I think it's so much a better experience; as well as more choice. It was lovely seeing the joy and excitement; I know exactly how that feels .....enjoy your gorgeous bag xx

So funny that you should post this as I've just been thinking a similar thing- the FSH store was an amazing experience and the experience is such a big part of getting the item. Why anyone would want to by a bag from a company that turns down 75% of the people who want to buy a bag from them is crazy to me. However, the most important thing is that you are happy, so congratulations. The great thing about the bag you got is that it will not decrease in value as long as you treat it with care. My mom has a Kelly. Her only issue was that she did not buy inserts for it at first and over a bit of time is was starting to sag slightly, but as soon as she purchased the inserts the sagging was no longer a problem. I used to think buying these bags was stupid, but now I realize it is an investment as well as a genuine piece of art handcrafted by one artisan.

Beautiful Birkin! Got mine in SF with an orange color I so adore and love at 35cm in Togo with gold hardware. Had to say no to a Kelly bag yesterday due to the color I did not like (rouge H in Togo). Love your bag color as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Your bag is exactly the bag I wanted when I went to FSH in March of this year, but there was no noir available. I was offered a green 30cm which I refused and then offered the 35cm in trench togo leather which I ended up purchasing. I did the queue process and it wasn't so bad and like you just felt it was luck and then universe that allowed me to get mine. I too went during PFW and my friends were sure I'd not get a bag, but I did! I will try again for noir in 30cm but need to do some saving first! Congrats. Your bag is gorgeous!

I got a Tomate Red Birkin 35 in Epsom leather with silver hardware. My appt was on Thursday at 11:35am. I wanted a black or grey bag too but also gave her a color, just in case she didn't have my first two choices. I think next time I will stick with only black or grey

Sorry it took me so long to put up! xx😍😘 I've wanted this bag for so long that in my head I've always had an idea of what it would look like and size-wise it was the 35 (though I didn't know that til I tried it on). This was the main reason I got the 35- all about the dream haha. The 30 was beautiful- and I saw lots of people in the store carrying them and thought they looked stunning. I think the 30 is a much more 'dressed up' bag that I would use in an evening- and probably if I'd been there with my husband he would have preferred this size as it is more delicate in appearance. But on the day it was a little more petite than I'd imagined and the 35 fit the vision in my head. If I got another I would get the 30- as I think it gives a very different look and its very elegant. xx

Thank you 😀. Its nice to share the bag enthusiasm! I saw the blue birkin...I also saw a blue/green one errr- not that many Birkins. I saw someone being offered a neutral or red kelly. The SA told me they didn't have gold or etoupe birkins when I asked but they had a few noir with choices of hardware. I can't honestly remember the other colours- I saw quite a few kellys near the belt section and as far as I remember they were all bright colours. I'd guess it was total luck. xx

I was able to try one on in Zurich, which seems to be their try on model 😅. Now I only need to try a kelly once so I know which one to hunt once I have enough money. I‘m a huge lover of the brand and have around 15 carrés, a belt, a hat and a bracelet, so I hope my history will be a good one till that day. Your bag is gorgeous!

In Aus a brand new bag cost 20,000aus, you could buy it from the shop who buy back from someone traveller, who wants to pay back their Europe ticket. A pre-own cost 15,000aus. It could be as old as 5-10years. Congrats on your new bag
