Coming from a divorced family, it's crazy the effects divorced parents have on the children's ability to create friendships and relationships with people outside the family and also within the family. It's a blessing to see this unified family and how it has influenced the future generation

My parents are still together and have a fantastic marriage. What hit home to me is that Matt's mom taught their eldest child Caleb, to be kind to his younger brothers and that, plus good parenting, trickled down to all the boys so that for the most part, they get along well. My parents didn't do that and as a result the 3 of us never even see each other, never mind talk to one another and we live within 20 mins of one another. My mother's way of coping with being a parent was to send us to 3 separate boarding schools so that she could prioritise my father so I guess it's not that surprising we're not close. In our case it's how NOT to parent 3 kids.

It would be only be for your own personal archives so that you can look back and have the same when your parents are gone.😁 I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!

So I have agreed with pretty much everything so far as I’ve been watching, but the comment about taking ADD medication makes you lose your creativity. I went to art school got a degree so just because you take medicine doesn’t mean that you’re a zombie.

I kinda have to disagree that I do believe in soulmates. I met my husband in third grade in one state, then when I was 12 I moved 3 states away and we dated long distance in high school. Broke up for a while. Then we got back together and got married in 2022. Did we date others? Yes we did. But we found our way back to each other. But that being said i do get your point of view on that but i think soulmates really depend on the couple

My Dad has been gone for Almost 9 years and my Momma for almost 5 years. Their 54tj anniversary was this past October, I miss them so much and most marriages don’t last that long anymore. Theirs wasn’t easy but it takes work and a lot of give and take. I wish you and Abby all the best in a long and loving marriage. My take is holding on to your values when your partner is going thru it, and they doing the same for you. Basically when life gets in the way of love you have to give more in order to hold onto what you value (your partner) it’s never 50/50, but it is so rewarding. I wish I could have the same but well life happens and you make the best of it. 😊❤

Abby-not a doctor here but I do have a thyroid condition & your headaches that seem to go away with pregnancy follows how sometimes thyroid conditions can go into a hibernation mode sort of. Some women with thyroid issues experience severe headaches/migraines, and then also perhaps dry skin, GI issues, etc. you might consider asking for a “full thyroid panel” from your doctor (t3, t4, TSH, and the antibodies also). Just some thoughts, and like I said, I’m not a doctor, just recently was diagnosed and that diagnosis has helped me incredibly. Wishing you health and wellness in the new year!

Such nice people overall. I do think it’s sad that Matt’s mom said she didn’t understand why people would have kids and not have anything to do with them when talking about being a stay at home mom. Newsflash…working moms are still moms. They still raise their kids and have everything to do with them. The mom shaming is disgusting. Also, terrible advice to wait until your kids ask about sex. Just make it a normal and ongoing conversation from toddlerhood. They aren’t going to ask especially when you’ve created an environment where it isn’t talked about.
