Bitcoiners try to tell each other the truth to help all boats rise, and fiat people on media desks will wink at you and ask for your number because they want to get rich in private without helping anyone else benefit but them.

4:14 - Excellent concise take-down of the myth that inflation is somehow good for the economy. This is such a simple thing and yet it's so deeply misunderstood. Thanks, government schools! Bitcoin has been the single best idea I've seen in 50 years to illustrate (and correct) the folly of fiat.

What is the true value of 1 bitcoin relative to physical assets and what determines its value? 1 bitcoin for 1 house? 1 satoshi for 1 bar of snickers
@OshoRamseyGump10 күн бұрын
Great point. However, bitcoin value is also increasing. The 60% ARR we see is a combination of the dollar's decrease, and bitcoin's increase. But at some point the value should theoretically plateau, then your picture would be more literal.

@@rajatsonifinance Well bitcoin has a transaction history because the blockchain is transparent and viewable and some people say that bitcoin is not fully fungible because of that because they'll say that 1 bitcoin used in a murder is worth less than 1 that wasn't used in such a crime. How would you respond to that? That 1 bitcoin is not equal to 1 bitcoin because of the history of the coins, because you're also buying the history of the coin?

@@rajatsonifinance Well some say bitcoin is not fungible because of each coins history, transparent blockchain, how do you respond to that? So they'll say 1BTC does not equal 1BTC because of the coins histories.

@@rajatsonifinance A simple example would be a bitcoin used in a unalive a person vs a bitcoin that hasn't been used in a crime, the people who bring up the histories say that the one used in the unavailing is worth less than a coin that hasn't been used in a crime. So the histories bring up a freedom of association problem, I however don't care where the bitcoin came from.

Love the frame change but I agree with the other comment. It's a combination of both graphs for now. Bitcoin is going up and you see that if you compare what Bitcoin can buy then and now. Compare BTC to houses. Good video though! People are waking up to the scam that is fiat. Edit: Nice! you brought in the house graph. My man!

I'd argue most asset classes are overvalued. The rich are literally forced to hoard them as a savings account. Bitcoin is going to pull tons of capital from art, real estate, gold, stocks & even vehicles ❤@@rajatsonifinance

What is the only currency that allows you to buy more things today than 15 years ago? only bitcoin can do that. Dollars is not a stable store of value as you buy less things with it than 15 years ago. I think we need a 3rd picture where Bitcoin gains value and fiat loses value.

@@rajatsonifinanceyou bring up some good points that help with a perspective shift, but I agree with OP here, in saying your presentation isn't really correct. "Value" (amount of goods/services you can get) of BTC (sats) is increasing over time, I think mostly due to increasing adoption. At the same time, "value" of fiat declines. Value is the true unit of measurement, harder to define precisely. It neither = BTC, nor = USD.
