I loaded the template but the only thing my maschine screen displays is template selection and knob/pad pages. Everything else seems to be working, I just assumed the screen would work as well or is there something I missed somewhere? Thanks for all your hard work making this template for everyone to use!

Powerful controller support! (and so much better than the standard Maschine script in Bitwig) One question though: Is it somehow possible, to change layers in a selector device/chain from the Maschine MK3? I use a lot of instrument/FX selectors and can't find a way, to change the selected layer/instrument from the controller :/

Hello , I am running bitwig 4.0 with machine extension but it’s not functioning as you show on video(example knobs are very slow and needs to turn the knob 3 times , ect...), I did drag the controller editor ncm3 file into my document , wondering what I am doing wrong...

You can change the speed in the extensions settings: Workflow -> Knob Speed. I have set it to +40.

Hi I got the launchpad pro mk3 working so thank you for that help but I also have maschine and as I on,y just purchased th launchpad I was thinking returning it to the shop as this seems much more easy and more to it what’s your view as I know you use both or how do you use them in conjunction with each other kind regards and thank you for all the sharing

It makes a good combination since the Maschine could be used for Device editing and mixing and the Launchpad for clips and sequencing.

This is sadly a long standing issue with Maschine (which I am afraid will never get fixed). See section 19.1 in the DrivenByMoss manual for the workaround.

I dropped this DrivenByMoss.bwextension file into C:\Users\xxx|Documents\Bitwig Studio\Extensions but there is still the issue of the file that I have to attach in the native instrument control editor At this stage, I don't know what to do anymore. I managed to do it once and in the controller settings from the Bitwig level I had such a long list of settings for the transport panel with the masschine mk3, etc. I did it according to the PDF instructions, but as I mentioned above, it is not entirely clear to me the next step for mk3 to catch the template as you have on movie. will you help?

Stupid question, but when I use Maschine softwares (Maschine DAW + Maschine plug-ins) with the Maschine mk3 (or +) AND Bitwig, together, for example, when I want to control Maschine softwares with the mk3, and just after I want to control Bitwig, how the controller "know" which software I want to control...? (sorry, english is not my native language, I don't know how to simply and clearly write my question, I hope it's understandable) Thanks

You can switch between the 2 modes (Maschine + MIDI Mode) with SHIFT+CHANNEL on the Mk3.

hey jürgen...thanks for the amazing work you put in....i already use the s61 with your help for bitwig....i wanted to know if there's a way to use the Maschine MK2 in the same way as the MK3? or is there another way....i only used it with a Maschine4Bitwig setting via the controller setup, but it tends to crash a lot.... thanks so much for your help... best Al

Hey do you know does maschine display those lovely faders on the screen like komplete kontrol does? I'm trying to decide which would serve my purposes better but can't see those faders in any vids.

Sorry, no. With Maschine I could only use this trick with the MCU emulation which looks quite old school. But at least the display could be used at all.

I downloaded the latest template and got the controller to recognize it, however when looking at bitwig settings under controllers all I see is the Maschine MK3 but don't see a way to add the script like it shows in this video. In fact the settings page is very limited in comparison. Is this because I have the trial version?

I guess you added the Bitwig stock extension for Maschine Mk3. Make sure you add the one saying "by Jürgen Moßgraber" instead of "by Bitwig".

@@mossgraber I appreciate the quick response. I had almost given up on integration with a DAW and the Maschine MK3 until I seen your video. It prompted me to download BitWig immediately. I downloaded the script 26.06.2022 Released DrivenByMoss 16.4.1 for Bitwig on your site. Followed the instructions and it doesn't want to function like it's shown here. I'm new to the DAW world but have messed around with Ableton for years with very little progress. What could I have messed up? Thank You!

I don't have one and therefore do not plan to support it. But you could try to adapt the Mk3 template to Studio, I had a quick look at the Studio editor and it is possible that it works.

I don't think so (don't have a MkII). But you could give it a try and see how close you can get with the MIDI mapping. I would be interesting to hear about your results.

The DrivenByMoss download (link in the comment) includes a manual which explains all steps in detail (basically copying one file). The Maschine specific part is explained in the video.

Ive done evrything exactly as you have with the script and N.I Controller Editor and but when i'm on the Settings / Controller screen in BITWIG I dont have the 'native instruments Maschine MK3' drop down options like you do at 2:32. no mention of Maschine MK3 anywhere Any ideas what ive done wrong? I must have some setting turned off somewhere?

If it is not showing up , you did not install DrivenByMoss or put the file in the wrong folder. See the manual for installation notes which is included in the download.
