While a lot of the changes caused by Spencer's normal-ness in this alternate universe make sense, I still kinda feel like Nevel and Mrs. Benson's roles in it were pretty inexplicable and only really there to make Carly more horrified at this new reality. Nevel being Carly's boyfriend makes no sense because she only met him in the first place because of her webshow. And how would _Spencer_ being wildly different change the fact that Nevel's a total creep, or for that matter the fact that Mrs. Benson is a neurotic freakazoid (who's arguably about 20 years Spencer's senior anyway)?

I am sick to death of this mentality and it's why Christmas media is so full of schlock. Bad writing doesn't get a pass because the writing is about Christmas. I'm actually convinced that It's a Wonderful Life tacked on Christmas to take advantage of this.

I agree with PGR. Retellings of old stories and/or cliches can work as long as they're well-written & entertaining. I LOVE Nutkin's Rabbity Day for example. It's easily the best "Everyone forgot about my birthday." plot I have ever seen! Retellings of old stories and/or cliches CAN suck if done in a frustrating/boring way. The Angry Birds Movie comes to mind. One of the WORST "Everyone loves the obviously evil newcomers." stories ever told!

As much as I enjoy iChristmas, I think Merry Christmas Drake and Josh would've been a better choice for this review :P Given that that movie too has Drake and Josh going to jail and/or facing jail time unless they can bring the Christmas spirit to this unfortunate family. Not to mention I just think that is just way funnier than iChristmas. But that's just one guy's opinion :P

Great video! And I can't wait for you to do the Seddie arc - even as a fan of that couple, I couldn't stand it and though I was soft on some of the relationship scenes apart from the episode due to having enjoyed that couple I thought it dragged on and did a disservice to a relationship that I enjoyed since it was out of character. Anyway I have a suggestion for the reverse of the Seddie arc - a relationship story in the Schneider's Bakery Universe that I think did the story of 'Seddie' better than Seddie. Quinn and Logan on Zoey 101 - I would pick this one if I was doing something like this - like Sam/Freddie's relationship arc it was sudden and out of nowhere however that show was already ending and it was much more reasonable to ship these two characters, they had the type of dynamic Seddie had except over the four seasons they had become somewhat friendly by S4 so it wasn't as drastic a change, they knew their relationship was odd and they were not comfortable liking each other -

and they didn't change from who those characters were that drastically despite being in that odd relationship - Quinn was still the quirky genius character and Logan was still vain and selfish at times. They changed each other for the better but not so much that comedic potential and established character was lost - their relationship didn't intrude and bring the show to a halt and it had payoff since those two ended up together in the end. As well, even the secret couple aspect (a normally pretty cliche and contrived set up) worked imo here because it was less 'characters being idiots for not noticing this relationship' and more 'of course they wouldn't think these two are dating - why would they? They have no reason to believe these two would ever do that' So yeah when you do get around to the Seddie Arc and the 'good' version of it I say the Quinn/Logan arc in Zoey 101 is something to consider checking out.

Since iCarly is a down-to-earth show, then how come the supernatural elements in this episode didn't bother you, whereas the slight supernatural elements in "The Santa Experience" (Rugrats) and "Doug's Halloween Adventure" (Doug) bothered you?

The Christmas episode, "iChristmas," is a decent episode for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it but it has one downside I don't really like. As I already watched the clips from "Christmas Danger," a really bad Henry Danger episode which is easily one of the worst Christmas episodes we have ever seen, I could clearly tell why it sucks. 😐 That Christmas episode is about main characters being arrested for no good reasons and apparently, there's one Schneider's Bakery Christmas special that has a much more similar premise to that one terrible Henry Danger episode, "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh." Basically, "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh" is about Josh trying to call the cops, he got arrested and sent to prison. Drake bailed him out of prison, things go out of hand when that police officer spies on them, and at the end, the police officer arrested Drake and Josh again. Why? It's because they didn't wish the families a Merry Christmas. If I were to choose which Christmas specials by Dan Schneider I would watch whether it's "Christmas Danger" or "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh," I would definitely go with "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh." Apparently, "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh" can't be a Bizarro Bakery counterpart for "Christmas Danger" because it's a movie, and they're mostly for episodes, including hour long specials, but not films. And if I were to choose which Christmas specials I'd like to see whether it's "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh" or "iChristmas," I'd go with "Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh" again. Can't think of any downsides of that movie. My only downside I have with that is Josh constantly getting arrested for bad reasons. Overall, "iChristmas" is a decent Christmas episode, yes it's much better than that dull Christmas episode of Henry Danger. The only big downside I have with "iChristmas" is Carly, during a normal dimension, whining to everyone she knows of that she wanted everything back to the way things were as Spencer was about to marry Freddie's mom. Oh and the only jail appearance in this Christmas episode is Sam being in juvie as we can all tell. I feel bad for Carly in those scenes when she started whining and crying like right before the "angel" undid the wish, don't get me started with that one scene from the episode, "iGot a Hot Room," man I hate that scene. It's like every time I hear Carly crying, I tend to feel really bad for her. 😞 About normal Spencer, I really like his normal attitude in the different dimension. Freddie's mom, pretty sure she wasn't that overbearing. Freddie, he didn't know all about iCarly, he even had a girlfriend Carly said that no one likes. Nevel, not looking evil, he was about to date Carly. I don't mind how freaked out Carly was in this episode, aside from her whining to everyone, she sure screwed things over when she wanted Spencer to be normal after that disaster he caused with that garbage looking Christmas tree. And like I said, "iChristmas" is a fairly decent Christmas episode from various Schneider's Bakery shows. 🎅🌲

This episode was alright, not good by any means though. The changes didn't make any sense at all, how does Spencer being born normal make him engaged to Freddie's mom, or Carly Nevil's boyfriend? He didn't act like a normal person, just bland and uptight, the whole thing was contrived and implausible. Not saying this episode sucks, but I think you're giving it WAY too much credit.

I don't really see how a normal person could marry Freddie's Mom or date Neville, it's only there because it's weird and to be funny(which is fine, but not normal, just over the top in a different direction)
