Like the replies, I don't think he had a choice either. If a foreign artist has a big fanbase from a certain country, their managers or agency or something will push to promote them in said country and make them popular. And one thing people love is to hear that artist sing or say something in their native language. I love his voice and he sounds really good, but I can't forget about what he went through.

I have watched the documentary “The Most Beautiful Boy in the World” Poor Bjorn went through hell when he recorded this: totally exploited. If you watch the doc you still see that he has always been passionate about music, plays the piano beautifully and composes. He in his 60s seems dignified and generally top bloke. I recommend the documentary.
